I had this on tap at De Muze in Antwerpen. It's a dark red carbonated candy in a glass. I really wanted to like this - I expected it to be more complex... To me, this is not much better than the very commercially available Lindeman's. It tastes artificial. This is a beer for the non-beer drinker at your party. Well, I will give fruit lambics another try with the near 10-year-old kriek I recently acquired.

This tastes like winegum, and there is almost no foam. It is quite citric.
This beer was bought in France for a whopping 2,5 EUR, and I see nothing in it's quality to justify it, it's a sweet-sour beer that tastes like more like strawberry/cherry wine. The aftertaste lasts very long, at least that is value for money.

Beer is red in color with a sticky and pinkish head.
The aroma is very fruity, mostly dominated by raspberries.
The beer is rather sweet with nice red fruit notes. Crisp and sparkling in the finish, some acidity in the finish but just enough to make it tart.
The body is medium, smooth, and is somewhat silky.
Overall the beer is very crisp and refreshing. The raspberries come through well, maybe a little too sweet and not sour enough.

Served from tap into Trappe Door tulip. Poured ruby red with a two finger off-white with slight pink hue head that subsided to one finger very slowly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, earth, sugar, cherries, fruit, and subtle tart. The flavor was of sweet malt, cream, earth, strawberries, cherries, and subtle tart. It had a light feel on the palate with very high carbonation. Overall this was a fairly decent brew. Unfortunately nothing really jumped out at me on this one. Tons of sweetness and fruit going on, but that was about it. Kind of seemed like this was the only thing going on with it unless you investigated further. Worth your time trying at least once, but that is about it.

Started loving those Lambic beer. Lets try this one.
The beer is red in colour. Clear too. The head is slightly pink in colour. Typical look for a Kriek beer. The aroma is not intense. I notice the presence of sugars, cherry and a light sourness in it. Not over the top Lambic regarding the aroma... On the taste side, the beer is sweet and quite effervescent. Some cherries in the taste too. Well balanced and quite approachable for the ones wanting to try Lambic. There is better one out there, but this is good to start with.
Not a bad beer. A good one.
I would say this is an introductory Lambic. Not quite in the same league than the Cantillon.

Appearance: It has a nice orange/red color to it. It has a nice light pink head that dies down moderately and leaves some lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of sweet cherries and sweet candy.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has a dominant cherry taste with an fairly big sourness upfront.
Mouthfeel: It has a low carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with decent flavors and aromas.

375 mL bottle from the LCBO; best before Mar. 2014. I haven't had any flavoured lambics in quite a while, despite the fact that they are generally my favourite 'fruit' beer. Needless to say, when I spotted this one on the shelf, I quickly grabbed it. Poured into a tulip glass.
Pours a beautiful, clear ruby-red colour, topped with one finger of sparkling, creamy off-white head with a bit of pinkish stain to it. It wilts away gradually over the next 5-6 minutes, leaving behind a dense, lumpy cap and collar, as well as smears of lacing on the side of the glass. The aroma is quite sour and funky, with lots of sour cherry pit and a few vinous notes. Some sweetness, but leaning toward the tart side on the nose.
Pretty yummy stuff, with sweet cherry and wheat malt dominating at first, and the sour cherry pit notes rounding things out at the end. The funky barnyard notes aren't dominant, but rather underlie the more prominent cherry infusion, with a few raspberry vibes as well. Reasonably well-balanced between sweetness/tartness, but it could use a little more of the latter for that puckering quality I love in these styles. Other than that, the mouthfeel is light and spritzy, with a good bite from the carbonation.
Final Grade: 3.63, a solid B grade. Mort Subite Kriek is flavorful, tasty stuff that I'd say is worth a try, but it still kind of straddles that line between alcopop and beer, so purists or serious lambic fans probably won't dig it that much. I really wish these sorts of brews were available year-round in my area, but for now it seems fruit lambics will remain a once-in-a-while thing for me. I rarely drink these styles in general, so it's fair to mention that I'm far from a connoisseur here. This might not be the best kriek in the world, but it's still tasty and easy to like, with a nice balance of cherry tartness, sweetness, and funky lambic goodness. A very quaffable brew that I would suggest as an entry point into the style for anyone curious.

Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a ruby red color with a one finger off white head. The head fades over a moderate amount of time to give a decent level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is on the lighter side, but is sweet. It is mainly of a cherry nature but also contained some raspberry aroma as well. With the fruit aromas, there were some lighter notes of a yeasty smell. Overall the aroma was light but rather nice.
Taste – The taste started out with a big burst of sweet cherry. As the taste advances some very light yeasty flavors as well as a light herbal flavor come to the tongue. While this occurs, the taste sours up a little bit. In the end, while still of sweet cherry, the taste has a lighter tart flavor as well.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is very light with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side. Both are fantastic for the sweet and sour flavors and makes for a very drinkable brew.
Overall – A nice lambic. Very drinkable and quite tasty. It is more on the sweet side then on the sour side making it more refreshing and faster drinking. Good for a go if you get a chance.

From Platinum.
Pours cherry red! - the head dies quite soon, sadly. Sheet lace
Aromas of sweet cherry, and that's about it, a little syrupy.
Taste is sweet cherries, and sadly only a mere of balancing tartness.
Mouthfeel good a zingy.
Hmmm - overall, is it beer or is it soda?
