A heavily carbonated medium body american amber. Pours a translucent golden orange color and leaves good lacing around the glass. Nose is nonexistent! Sweet light taste of mild hops, earth tones, piney, peachy, and a bitter bite at the end. The heavy carbonation almost makes it feel like your drinking an amber/club soda mix.
Drinkable but pretty bland overall.

Poured into tall pilsner glass, color is opaque copper, head is about 1/2" thick then dissipates to a ring and froth, some lacing.
Smell is pretty neutral grain, some light a caramel and biscuit malt notes, no hop scents noted.
Taste is a little crisp, lightly over carbonated flavors leave them somewhat bland. biggest flavor noted is caramel and biscuit malts, minor hop grassiness noted.
Mouthfeel is slighty overcarbonated and strong on the tongue, which does not allow nice lingering malt flavors.
Overall, an average amber ale, slightly overcarbonated, malt profile is pretty solid.

The Shine On is a decent session amber ale. The beer pours clear (cut off before bottle settlement could invade) with soft amber color. A 1/2 finger think head forms initially then settles leaving some lace. The really isnt much scent save for waffes of caramel malt. The taste is a basic amber ale, the sweet malt stars and the bittering hops provide a nice finish. The mouthfeel is medium to light body with decent carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

12 fl oz brown glass bottle with standard pressure cap served into a Dick's Last Resort pilsner glass in me sister's gaff in low altitude Minneapolis, Minnesota. Reviewed live. Expectations are above average. Bottled in October.
Served straight from the refrigerator. Side-poured as no carbonation issues are anticipated.
A: Pours a 1.5 finger beige colour head of nice cream and thickness, and good retention. Colour is a semitransparent copper. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.
Sm: Smooth creamy malts, minimal floral hopping, caramel, and butterscotch. Sweet malts. a moderate strength aroma.
T: Pale malts, butterscotch, caramel, and minimal floral hops. Honey? Balanced but underwhelming. I like it, but there's no complexity or subtlety here. Tasty but lacking.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Nectary. Slightly overdone carbonation. Good thickness.
Dr: Drinkable and enjoyable but forgettable. I doubt I'd knowingly get this again unless the price point was incredible. Try it but don't expect greatness. A solid beer for the style but ultimately somewhat underwhelming.
