Sampled a glass on tap at the new brewpub in Marshfield and was mildy disappointed...glad I bought the growler and was able to sample it from a nice wide mouthed pint glass...at the pub they served it in almost a pilsner like longer glass...I think that shielded a lot of this beers special qualities.
According to the brewpub this has generous amounts of Bonlander malt, a glorious heaping of Vienna malt. german noble hops lend a subtle offset to the rich, malty sweetness of this garnet colored beauty.
Light orange color (sorry but the wife confirms this is not "garnet")...pretty clear....great aroma of toasted grains..taste doesn't quite match the aroma but it is close...big load toasted malts...finishes slightly dry....very true to style..clean tasting....easy drinking....great aroma and flavor....this is what a vienna should taste like in my book...

Light copper. Clear. Bubbly white head. Ample amount of carbonation is seen surfacing at a moderate clip. Great nose. Full of toasted and vienna malt goodness. Mouthfeel is slightly crisp with a moderate level of carbonation showcasing. Medium-full body. On the palate, malts are toasty and a little bready. Good matl profile overall and quite clean. Hops add a little counterpoint of dryness and earthy character. Quite enjoyable and quite drinkable. Solid Vienna.

Sample growler from the new lineup of beers created for the new brewpub in Marshfield.
Pours out bright amber and sits a beaming ruby-tinted copper in the glass with a good sized off-white head fading slowly to a thin skimming on the surface,
Smells warm and toasty with large, rounded nutty presence. Caramel doused malts and spring-fresh greens coat the sides, light grassy hop aroma.
Tastes faintly sweet up front with moderate grassy hop flavors emerging early on. Swelled toasted core produces soft wooden tones and earthy nut flavors. Bright green grasy hop flavors liven up the mix with just a hint of spiciness. Finishes with moderate hop bitterness and clean green hop tones with accompanying toffee-ed malts.
Clean and smooth in the mouth with moderate, crisp carbonation. Medium in body and slides gleefully down the hatch with each subsequent gulp.
I'm a fan of this beer already and hope to see more of it in the upcoming future. As far as I know, there are no plans to bottle, but who knows. Were it in six-packs, I could easily see empty bottles of this taking up a lot of space in the recyling bin.
