Thanks to scottk1969 for the bottle! 12 oz bottle poured into a Duvel artist tulip. Notes from last night's Skins/Cowboys game.

A: Pours a hazy golden color with a bit of yeast sediment floating about. The head is a beautiful two finger creamy white head with fantastic, almost Guinness-like texturing. Good lacing is left on the glass.

S: The hype train wasn't kidding about this having an amazing aroma. There are tons of tropical fruits - mango, cantaloupe, apricot, papaya - that explode aromatically. I will say, this isn't quite as vibrant as it could have been if it had been super fresh or from a growler, so sadly I can't give it a 5 in good conscience.

T: The tropical fruits from the nose come through to the flavor - at first. Initial tastes of melon, grapefruit, and cantaloupe are quickly supplanted by a floral, piny bitterness. I'd like to see a little more citrusy notes and less piny bitterness, but this is still a great (but simple) IPA.

M: Tingly coarse at first, before leaving the palate quickly by a good clean dryness. Pleasant carbonation and drinkability.

O: I'd buy the shit out of this if it were readily available in my area. Honestly, however, I don't know if I'd seek it out, only because this supposedly falls off fast and hard. Still, this is very much a must try.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Nice amber hue with a thick creamy head. Good retention and lacing. Aromas of sweet pink grapefruit with hints of piney forest. Hops is upfront and in your face with assertive mid-palate true-to-type bitterness finishing to a pleasant astringency. Mouth feel is a bit on the light side, but overall it's an excellent IPA. If you're a fan of classic IPA bitterness, try this. Going to pour another right now.

Best by June. Tulip glass.

A: Pours a golden straw color with a finger of snow white head. Very good clarity. Pretty good retention with generous lacing.

S: Caramel candy, a hint of pink grapefruit and tangerine/blood orange.

T: Melted caramel, piney and juicy hoppiness, floral notes, and a well integrated mild bitterness on the finish.

M: Medium body and medium-light, soft carbonation.

O: Pretty drinkable, though the hop flavors are not particularly pronounced. Hard to tell how fresh this bottle is, though, so that may be a factor.
