thrilled to death to be able to say i was able to try this one. a super kind ba sent me a growler of this one and i could not wait to get ahold of it and brought it along for the bday party last night. served cold and poured into a pint glass, this one was consumed on 10/02/2010.
watch an enormous pour here. deep, hazy amber color with just a ton of sediment in the bottom of the growler. huge head of white reaches a height of around three inches before settling back down into a thick lacing that coated the entire inside of the glass, really just amazing.
aroma is something i cannot say i have ever come across before. a huge and dominating citra aroma, that deep, sweet, sticky orange scent that you have come to love, but cut with a light tartness and thick buttery malt. the warmer it gets the more impressive by far. taste is only a step above this. tremendously fresh and full of citrus goodness it was like orange juice with its rich and wonderful fruit flavor. touches of sour apple bite at the tongue and the middle is sublimely balanced with rich buttery malts. simply amazing beer. the final sips are as perfect as the first as the juicy resin filled hops dominate everything in sight and just leave this one as simply stunning.
overall one of the best ipas i have ever had and soo worth its reputation. this did not dissapoint.

Had this one at BCTC and it was supposedly delivered from the brewery upon finishing. This is one of my favorite beers. Grapefruity…… I would never have thought it was a Brett beer.. The only beer I had twice at that fest. Also it was hazy,, which was odd then although we drank some Vermont or NE beers that actually started that trend. Great festival
