Bottle from dmeadows. Thanks, Dennis! Opened this one with exitmusic00 and drank side by side with Brute. Most recent batch.

A- Pours a gorgeous dark orange with a yellow hue with a two finger head that settles into a thin cap.

S- Musty blueberries, vinegar, hay, funky brett, lemon and orange peel

T- Lots of vinegar and funk upfront followed by lemon peel, sweet tarts, horse blanket with a blueberries and lacto (berries and cream) finish.

M- Medium spritzy carbonation with the tartness lingering on.

O- A mouth puckering sour that has a bit more bite than Brute. The highlight for Lebleu was the berries and cream finish. Brute and LeBleu are top class American wilds.

LeBleu - Ithaca

A - Pours a cloudy amber tan color with a nice foamy head in the beginning that dies down quite quickly to nothing.

S - Blueberries with sour barnyard funk.

T - Tart, sour blueberries, lots of funk, acidic, tart, and some oak.

M - Velvety smooth on the tongue and lots of puckering with a wet finish.

O - Pretty good but overrated (IMO).

A: poured a fucia color which was a pinkish light purple with slight yellow highlights and a thin bubbly head thta left some good lacing sticking to the glass.

S: nice mild blueberry aroma in the background with a good amount of acidity, plenty of funky brett is noticeable, mild citrusy zing to it and slight grain character through as well..

T: the bluberry fruit was a little more apparent on the palate with nice oaky wood accetn, good acidic character, mild brett funkiness, slight citrusy twang with a touch of grain flavor and underlying vanilla.

M: the brew was light to medium in body with a good amount of carbonation which had a fruity, acidic, funky. Oaky, mild grainy, citrusy, tart and slight dry finish.

O: I was definitely digging this brew and glad to finally try it. Would absolutely have it again.

Opened a !E032 bottle for my birthday. "A blend of barrels filled in 2009 and 2010."

Appearance: Light rose tint to brown. clear to start but the later glasses were a little cloudy. very little head or lacing. and what was there faded quickly.

Nose: Slight sourness fairly mild with very subtle berry notes.

Taste: A nice upfront bite but not as heavy hitting as some others of the style. pleasant fruitiness without sweetness and a relatively quick and round, off-dry finish.

Mouthfeel: a little pucker quality here but overall a nice medium body. Could use a touch more carbonation for me but some was probably lost as the bottle sat through the tasting.

Overall: I would definitely seek it out again. Not the epitome of fruited sours but a fine example of the style. the fruit is relatively subtle in this one but so is the acidity. Very enjoyable.

This poured out as a hazy looking golden color with a white head on top. The retention fades quickly, not leaving any lacing either. The smell of the beer is acidic and funky with a subtle blueberry note way in the distance. The taste follows the nose also, subtle blueberry notes in there but was hoping for a little more I guess. The mouthfeel is sharp, it's tart and has a crisp carbonation. Overall I wasn't terribly impressed with this beer.

Thanks to mjtiernan for this one and the glass

App- When this poured out, it was a pure orange color. The bubbles were not there and the center was a bit dense and full with only a small amount of bubbles. No cling.

Smell- This wasnt as lactic as I thought it would be. I think with the older vintages I have had. This was just a little bit of fruit but a little bit of oak and funk mixed. A nice sour. Not over the top, clean.

Taste- This to me didnt have the fruit that I thought it would. More oak and barrel and funk comes vs. a lactic sweetness and fruited tinge. The beer is a little bit thick actually works to its advantage for me. Im not sure where the vanilla people are getting comes from, but more mid-palate just comes up a bit dry.

Mouth- A nice medium bodied sour. A good amount of a thicker carbonation with blueberry skins and some oak on the residual flavors.

Drink- This was a good sour. I prefer the fresh but still a good beer non the less no matter what age you have it. Thanks again matt. I prefer larger pours on this one.

Corked 750 ml bottle served in a Half Acre tulip. Thanks to stXSS07 for the share.
Batch E!041

A: Pours a hazy orange color with a lot of floaties chilling around the bottom. Light wispy head. Minimal splotches of lace.

S: A ton of blueberry. Lactic sourness with some fruity and herbal like qualities with a hint of mint. A little sweet malt base as well.

T: Same fresh blueberry with a nice mix of lactic sourness. Same herbal like qualities from the nose, but not as minty. A little vanilla sweetness with a touch of oak.

M: Light bodied with a prickly, medium-high carbonation. A little fluffy in the mouthfeel.

O: Great mix of fruit and sourness with just a hint of sweetness. Definitely a great blueberry beer.
