Pours a cloudy gold into my Cantillon tasting glass. Just a great looking beer!

Smell is amazing. Apple skin, sour funk (this is a batch 2, so going on a year old I believe so the Brett is very present), strawberries.

Taste follows the nose. Sour peaches and a touch of zing from the yeast are present. The sour apple is dominating. Amazing on the pallate.

The mouthfeel on this beer is second to none IMO. The fizziness is in your face, but the body holds up and makes this just a delight. I think this is the best mouthfeel I've experienced on an American Wild. Nicely done!

Drinkability is exceptional. Not too acidic, just a pure joy as it makes its way down my throat. Wow. This is what great beer is all about, one of my faves!

750 ml bottle, batch number E!037, poured into a snifter. Huge thanks to Eli for opening this.

A- Pours a hazy gold amber color, topped with a finger of white head, leaves nice lacing.

S- Really delicious aroma of fruit, mostly white grapes and some lemon, musty funk, straw, brett, also some nice perfumey notes. Incredible.

T- Restrained sourness, nice, soft fruitiness of white grape and lemon, as well as hay and bretty and earthy funk.

M- Medium-bodied, moderate to low-ish carbonation, smooth, soft feel, dry finish.

O- A really delicious sour, the flavors are subtle but highly complex, it's really too bad that this won't be made again.

2008 vintage.

Inch tall off white head, fizzy bubbly head. Body is a dull peach. Cap and collar. Recede after about 4 minutes.

Grapes. Tart peaches, champagne yeast influenced.

More with the sour grapes with a funk presence this time. Beneath all of this there is a balancing sweetness about it.

Very lively bubble mouthfeel and carbonation level. Unique and perhaps my favorite aspect of Brute.

A solid, well built sour. Balanced with a great lively mouthfeel and carbonation. Thanks kawilliams81 for the long time want share! Thanks Kent.
