500ml bottle purchased by my dad on a recent trip to Ireland. Thanks pop! Best before date of late October 2012 (so pasteurized, I'm assuming?).

Pours a transparent golden hue with two fingers of bright white froth, lots of bubbles in the body, and some dots of lace on the pint glass. After a while the head subsides to a thin cap and the lacing completely disappears.

Smell is toasted grain, biscuit, whole wheat cracker, white bread dough, slight metallic note, honey, and wet hay. Malt-forward but on target for an APWA.

Taste is similar to the nose with grainy, biscuity, and toasty malts, big smack of juicy and citric lemon zest gives way to a drying wheat cracker finish and fleeting aftertaste. A flavourful and refreshing brew.

Mouthfeel is lighter than medium bodied with a punchy, lemony tang and malty-dry finish. Clean, simple palate.

Overall, this above average wheat ale is a very accurate take on the style, and it packs more flavour than I expected. Just a solid summer quencher IMHO. Worth buying.

Poured from a 11.2 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear, bright golden color. Smells of tropical and ripe, dark fruits. Not much else. Malty and fruity with a surprising hoppy finish. Crisp carbonation with a little tartness. Light to medium body. Nothing special, but an interesting beer. I’ve never had anything quite like it.

500 ml. bottle at Sir William´s pub, Ljubljana.
The aroma is slightly fruity & sweet. Looks like a pale ale, with a small head and no lace. The taste is sweet, slightly spicy and with light citric background. The carbonation is very soft.
This beer is a real disappointment for all wheat beer lovers especially for a beer from a brewery with such delightful products as their stout and the Irish Red are.

Appearance: I't mostly golden with a little bit of brassy color. The head is light and foamy a bit like frothed milk.

Aroma: Grainy, lemon peel, light breadiness, twinge of grassy notes. Minor citrus notes.

Taste: A little bit sweet in the front on the lines of biscuitiness and a light buttery texture. Light grassy and grain, twinges of lemon and traces of rye.

Notes: It's decent good for a warm day. Cheers.

500ml bottle poured into a mug by freshness date.

A:
Clear bright gold color with some hint of copper hue, the pour produces thick white billowy head with good retention. The head gradually dissipates to thin foamy long-lasting layer and yields some lacing patches, medium carbonation.

S:
Fruity aroma mainly dominates; peach, plum, banana, apple, along with honey, some bread malt and bitter hop.

T:
The aforementioned fruits in its aroma still play on front row with a mixture of slight bitterness from hop and pinch of tartness, sourness in the aftertaste.

M:
The body is light to medium, smooth mouthfeel with good crispness from proper carbonation, dry finish.

O:
Pretty good brew, stable and balance, I didn’t disappoint giving it a try, worthy.

500 mL bottle pours a mostly clear, light gold color. Incredibly large-bubbled white head...makes it quite interesting looking.

Nose is raw wheat, sweet grains and cake batter. Maybe a touch or two of green grape fruit.

The fruitiness really creeps in nicely but it is still crisp and light. Minerals come out to play a bit more as it warms. Earthy wheat, unbleached flour and a kiss of hops on the finish. Nice. Really tasty and refreshing, it is a unique take on a wheat beer. Nice full body for a brew with such a low ABV. I’d buy this again for sure if it was available in the states.

A - Orange and bright, pouring with a two finger head. It leaves a nice spotty lacing over the glass.

S - Wheat, cereals, floral/plants and a healthy earthy smell akin to moist peat.

T - Wheat, earthiness, a hint of fruit, with a touch of hops. Not too much to savour here.

MF - Much too watery and lacking body leaving me dissatisfied. Medium-high carbonation.

O - Not great, but then again I've never been a fan of this style so you may still want to try it yourself. It certainly doesn't measure up to the other beers that this excellent brewer produces.

Appearance – This is a nice, deep orange in color but lacked ay sort of head.

Smell – The light fruitiness and vegetable aroma isn’t strong but certainly noticeable. It has an earthy character to it with some light citrus notes.

Taste – The earthy vegetation is a bit harsh at the taste and there is really very little fruity sweetness. I don’t get any wheat whatsoever.

Mouthfeel – This is light-bodied and lacks any significant carbonation.

Drinkability – It sounds worse than it is. This isn’t a bad beer, although I wouldn’t want to drink more than one in a sitting.

Ordered this at the Braveheart Highland Pub in Hellertown Pa. I had already tried the Celtic Stout and the Irish Red from this brewery and figured this would be good as well. I was wrong... This beer was a severe letdown to me. I don't know what I was expecting but it was what I got. The smell and appearance were brutally average if that. It was a clear orange color with very little head. The taste and mouthfeel were even worse. It was this flat tasteless beer. I really couldn't make out much of the ingredients other than the typical Wheat, and Malts.

Picked up a few weeks ago at Beer Crazy in Des Moines, forgot I had it until now. Poured into a hefe glass

A: Nice active carbonation feeds a large 3 finger just off white head that sits on a golden, almost clear body. There is a slight haze, and a few microscopic particles floating around. It leaves a very nice lacing.

S: A nice, fresh baked bread smell dominates, though isn't overly strong, but a slight off aroma lurks in the background. Perhaps a little fruity? I could almost excuse it if this were a hefe, or if the aroma was more banana clove, but neither of those things are true. The aroma just isn't full enough. A little hoppiness would help.

T: Also thin. As the bottle says, it's fruity, but not refreshingly crisp. Not crisp at all. One of the beers that there isn't much or anything wrong with, just not enough right with to really like.

M: Way, way off. I want much more crisp, refreshing bite than this has to offer. It almost tastes under carbonated.

D: I suppose it's drinkable, and considering the low abv and mild taste, would make a great session beer if it were a little colder, but I don't think that should be needed to make it a good beer.

Great starting head that leaves plentiful spotty lace. A near perfect dome forms in the foam. Mild haze as to be expected. Dark gold color

The smell reminds me of a cream ale. There seems to be some lactose aroma. I also note some raw pale grains.

This is not very wheaty. Again, it seems closer to a cream ale. The body is decent with a lower level of carbonation than most wheat ales. This is more malty with a strong apricot element. It even seems to have a sweetness similar to schnapps.

This beer pours a clear golden with a fluffy white head that fades to a thin layer, but leaves clinging lace. The aroma is wheaty and grainy with notes of fruit and spicy hops.

This beer is grainy upfront with a grassy backbone. There are enough spicy, leafy hops in the finish, just enough to prevent it from being bland. This beer is crisp, light-bodied and slightly dry.

Not super flavorful, but refreshing enough.

A - Pours a clear golden yellow with a fairly thin head leaving patchy lacing along the glass.

S - Toasted grain, biscuit, slightly sweet wheat and malt.

T - There's definitely some wheat touches towards the beginning, before tumbling into a slightly odd sweetness which seems to last throughout most of the beer. Hints of grain and bread are present, but a near caramel and honey sweet flavor threw me off. Attempts to finish clean but an almost steely "macro" hint keeps flashing through.

M - Lighter body, some dryness, higher carbonation.

D - Light abv and pretty smooth feel, but not very tasty.

Eh, this was okay...it had some tendencies which reminded me of macro wheat beers which was a turn off.

Appearance: Poured from a bottle into an Irish pub style (real) pint glass in low altitude, Galway, Ireland, on September 17th, 2010. Pours a clear orange-gold colour with a three finger head that dies to next-to-nothing in a minute and a half. The head is of mild thickness but little cream.

Smell: A nasty scent of foul citrus. There's something wrong here. A bit of a hoppy smell comes through, but barely. I'm hesitant to try this beer.

Taste: A lopsided body with a lackluster finish. All of the flavor hits the tongue towards the back. Complete lack of balance. The note that is there isn't horrible, kind of an off piney/citrus taste, like a recently spoiled orange bled into wheat.

Mouthfeel: Unbalanced and wet until the finish. There is a bit of nice crispness at the end of each sip, which I'd like to see extended into the remainder of the beer.

As a wheat beer, this fails. I like the idea of a wheat beer hybridized with a crisp hint of fruit, but it just isn't working as it is. Steer clear of this one if you're after a good wheat beer. I won't be having another.
