Had this at the Turoni's on Main St. Nice looking blond color, no lacing, not too much smell. Taste is crisp, watery with a bitter finish. Slight hop flavor but this tastes like a nice mild ale instead of an IPA. This is a good pizza beer, so it's in it's place. Drinkability is great.

A. Poured a slightly cloudy honey brown, with a white 1 finger head. Decent lacing on the glass.
S. Light malt, floral hops, earthy, bread
T. The hop duration was good the bitter bite was sufficient. The great balance between the citrus and bitterness was awesome. Not really overpowering on the hops.
M medium bodied, medium carbonated, slightly watery.
D. A great beer to enjoy watching a game at the bar.

This beer was served on-tap at the Turoni's on Main St. (I have found in the numerous trips to Evansville and Turoni's that all the beers are at both locations) served in a pint glass. The beer was a nice amber/reddish color with a thin white head, more than likely due to the pour. The aroma was hoppy with a hint of pine, not much else. The taste is of a solid IPA, follows the nose well, hoppy with a hint of pine. I was expecting or would have liked a little more hoppy kick to it, but still a good flavor. The beer seemed to have too much carbonation to it. This was the first time that I have noticed it and don't recall the other beers being overly carbonated, so I would chalk it up to an isolated occurance. The beer is light and smooth with a nice bitter and dry after taste. Not the best IPA that I have ever had, but a solid representation of the style and one that I will be going back for.

It's nice in civilization, where a fresh growler is twenty minutes from home. This Moose pours a clear, copper/orange body with two fingers of creamy, beige head atop. Very good retention and moderate patch lacing.
Aroma is distinctly Cascades hops, with pink grapefruit and fresh pine needles. Caramel maltiness evens out the aroma. A hint of red apple skin adds a note of interest.
Mouthfeel is light medium, the carbonation is moderate and ideal.
Taste is dry and bitter with grapefruit and lemon rind. Very hoppy. Nice balance from the caramel maltiness. The red apple skin from the aroma is also picked up in the taste, adding a lovely bittersweet fruitiness to the finish.
Fresh and tasty. Exceedingly drinkable!

On tap @ Turoni's Forget Me Not Inn: Weinbach & Lloyd Exp Evansville, Indiana (Yes Virginia there are good craft brews in Hoosier land) Thanks to Ashley and Mike at The Winetree-East for recommending this.
My favorite of the six 3 oz. samples of Main St. Brews. A clear garnet color with strong tan head subsiding to a thin cover with lace and good level of beading. Aroma of malt and hops was followed by similar taste with medium body and creamy mouthfeel. The bold malts were complex well worth the trip across Missouri and Illinois. Ordered the pizza and took out a growler to share with my friends.
Just finished the growler with the help of Joe a local BA - mighty easy drinking. The head was much more exceptional than the sampler even after 30 hrs and 300 miles of I-64 I-44 interstate. The Aroma is so awesome in this IPA. Rating goes up 0.5 on both these characteristics after 3 additional pints. Get you some of this blue eyed brute and turn the Moose loose!
