We are out here in Colorado and I hope I have another of these to sample this week. the style seems to be a misnomer. It is much cleaner crisper and dryer than any kind of amber. It has none of the maltiness that I would expect.
This beer went down nicely and when it was done could have had another.maybe the beautiful snowy rocky mountains surroundings and high altitude make the beer better.

Poured a clean amber with a light sticky off white head.
The smell is all biscuit malt.
The flavor follows the nose, tons of biscuit malt, lightly crackery, just a touch of earthy hops.
The mouthfeel is light and very dry.
A very one dimensional amber, drinkable with no big flaws, but not something I would seek out. Perfect for the biscuit lover.

Pours clear, light amber with a thin head that soon becomes a wispy, lasting patch.
The smell is of honey, some musty grain with some melon.
The taste is of honey sweetness that is almost too much. But it does have some balance with a slight melon fruitiness and a touch of toasted grain. Becomes more dry in the finish.
A bit weak, the initial fizz fades, it becomes watery, but the taste lingers through the finish.

Part of a mixed 12 pack. No ingredients per the website. 31 IBU, 4.5% ABV.
Pours out to a very pale light amber, forming a nice off-white head with very good retention and solid lacing. Medium carbonation, ~2.5 carbs. The nose is immediately reticent of Fat Tire. Biscuit malt, but with an odd tartness like green kiwi to the nose. The mouthfeel is light bodied and slightly tart with a dry finish. Taste open with biscuit malt, followed by mild hop flavor (herbal), then a mild well-balanced hop bitterness. Grain husk in the aftertaste with strong tannins in the finish. Still getting that green kiwi.
Hrmm. Quite average. I think this is Fort Collins answer to it's neighbors best-seller, but there is a reason fat tire sells better than this and it's not just marketing or volume.
