Appearance is a clear deep gold with a rim of white head and some lacing. The nose has a deep earthy hop aroma with a bit of resinous pine paired with caramel malt and bready grains. Taste is light on bitterness but full of hop flavor. Sweet fruity notes of apple and lemon with mild bitterness to finish. Light mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Overall, decent but no depth.

A-An transparent copper color. Head is whitish and settles down to a respectable size. Head remains for the entire glass. Lacing rings are constant.

S-Balanced with a good amount of rich caramel and floral hops. A bit perfumey. Sweetness almost seems to beat out the hoppiness. Its mostly pleasant but barely memorable.

T-Hops start off with flower buds and a bit of spicy herbal notes. Then the flavor is washed out by some serious sweetness. A bit of pine kicks in on the back end and it finishes moderately bitter. Very balanced in overall flavor.

M-Medium bodied with a hint of creaminess. Light bubbles. Bitterness lingers.

O/D-Not my favorite take on the style but it fell into the 'mediocre' tier. Lacks the citrus and assertiveness I crave in the style. But it was one of the better brews I had in the state of Mississippi.

It pours a beautiful clear copper color with creamy white head, great retention and beautiful lacing.

The aroma is on the tart side with pithy grapefruit rind, hints of lemon zest, pine resin, and a toasty, biscuit like breadiness far in the back.

Not balanced well at all. A light nutty, toast, biscuit, cracker like malt background doesn't hold up to the bitter overload of grapefruit pith, lemon, and pine domination. The harsh dry finish leaves one with medicinal tones of chewed asprin running down the back of the throat.

Overall, its a smooth, crisp beer. Nice body, its just not balanced or enjoyable to drink.

Served on tap at Fort Collins Brewery:

A- Nice color profile, light amber color, with a thick white head

S- Floral smell, extreme hoppy and tasty smell to it

T- Nice hop profile, they seem to be using both Centennial and Cascade hops. There is a hint of a flavor of black tea. Also, there is a maltiness towards the end of the flavor, that makes the beer have a nice smooth finish

M- Nice carbonation and smooth

O- Good beer, different then most IPAs in that it is slightly more malty.

This beer pours an unspecial amber hue, and has a moderate ecru head. Smelling it, it seems to have a bit of pine and some caramel sweetness; not dissimilar to a faded SNPA. The first sip is honestly bewildering. My initial reaction is that this stuff must be old, and terrible. Subsequent quaffs do nothing to assauge that. The taste is sweetly caramelized with hints of peat moss and cypress; earthy in a borderline unpleasant way. Not good. The feel is okay, but overall the beer is not.

Pint pour at Canal Street Pub, Reading, PA

A – Misty amber, red wood bark
S – Floral meadow, sweet and crisp wild flowers
T – Starts smooth but early malt /hop balance is nudged then shoved aside for strong bittering hops
M – Mimics taste profile, nice and easy up front, sharp and bitter in the back
D – strong initial attraction in the nose followed by lingering bitterness leads to a follow-on selection

I haven't had many Fort Collins beers, despite seeing them quite often. I've been waiting for them to come up in rotation at local bars to give them a shot and sticking with picking up bottles of stuff that's harder to find.

A: Pours a nice amber/ruby with a small, tight head. Almost got it confused with my girlfriend's Abita Amber just from the look of it.

S: Wow, tons of hops in the nose. A slight sweetness is detectable underneath it, but almost all hops, and in a big way.

T: Again, up front I'm getting lots and lots of hop bitterness, with just a tiny bit of sweetness on the end of it. I'm surprised at how assertive the hop flavor is. As it warms, I can get more malt and some caramel, too.

M: Good carbonation and a super-light body for a beer of this type.

D: Although the mouthfeel is nice, I feel that this left me with a really dry feeling and a lasting bitterness. It was okay to have one, but I can't see myself ordering these back to back ever.

Overall, this is a good beer, especially for those more interested in hoppy IPAs. I feel like it could have used a tiny bit more sweetness to balance out the flavor, but it's still an above average IPA.

Pours a couldy amber from the tap with a nice tan head As it disapates slowly it leaves some nice lacing around the glass. The smell is floral, piney, and hoppy. Big citrusy hop taste up front, piney and floral in the middle, nice dry bitter taste in the end. THis beer is creamy and smooth a little oily. Pretty dame good IPA.

Nice looking copper color. Thin white head, but that could be due to the pour. A nice amount of lace. A stream of very fine bubbles rising to the top.

Nice hop nose, citrusy and piney. Heavy background of caramel malt. Maybe a bit herbal on the back end.

Very nice caramel malt, with a slight toasty character. Piney hop bitterness with an herbal edge. Bitterness lingers quite a while, but not overbearing. Finishes dry.

Medium body, very fine carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Pretty easy to drink. A nice ipa.

The beer pours an amber color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing.

The aroma is good... The hop aroma is pretty aggressive. It's got a floral nose that's quite bitter.

good taste. It has a very bitter hop bite up front with a nice malty flavor in the finish.

The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation.

good IPA. It's intensely bitter with just enough malt balance. very drinkable with a good pizza or on a hot summer nite!

Very good nose on this beer. It poured a deep straw, golden color with a head that stands moderately well. The aroma of hops is apparent prior to a full sniff or swirl. Nice citrusy, American hop aroma with a bit of pine. Nice, tight bead and good carbonation help to effervesce the hop flavor and aroma into a pleasant mouth experience. The bead and tightness did not last throughout, though. The beer lost carbonation about 2/3 of the way through. Overall, a nice IPA.

a: This was a moderately dark, hazy copper color. It was served to me with a small, soapy head.

s: Lots of caramel malt and some piny hops.

t: On the sweet side for an IPA. Caramel, rough raw sugar, and some piny hops at the end.

m: Good body and decent carbonation.

d: Too sweet for more than one.

This absolutely smoked the 60 Minute IPA it is following.

Kind of a cloudy appearance to this beer but is still very attractive and inviting.

Very hoppy aroma. Smells like a pine branch that has had grapefruit juice squeezed all over it.

Much hoppier than the 60 Minute. Nice kick in the teeth to this. This is the 90 Minute IPA without the high ABV. Wonderful taste to this IPA.

Very sessionable beer here. I could drink this all night and be a very hapy man.

I passed on this one recently when I saw it in bottles, but I couldn't pass it up when I saw it on-tap. Poured a clear, dark orange-amber color with a nice light tan head that left some very nice lacing.

The smell was lighter than I had hoped, but I did pick up some citrus hops behind the sweet caramel malts.

The flavor had more hops than the aroma...thank goodness. Bitter orange and grapefruit with some floral qualities, as well. Malts were biscuity and sweet caramel. Nicely balancing out each other at times, while other times the hops were too bitter to hold down.

Creamy, medium body. Went down pretty darn easy. I may have to give the bottled version a try next time I see it.

On-Tap JP MacGrady's

It was nice, but didn't really hit the spot for me. There's a big mellow citrus and juicy fruit hop flavor, but that's it. There's no tasty malt backbone and the hops finish on an unpleasant fruit seed note. Still it's easy drinking, but the flavor isn't that enthralling.

Poured into a shaker pint glass.

Look: Hazy, deep caramel color. Cream colored head leaves a soapy film. Decently thick lacing.

Aroma: Spicy, thick with caramel and finished with piny hops.

Taste: Really rich with caramel sweetness, then a spicy bitter hop finish infused with pine and grapefruit rind.

Mouthfeel: Fairly thick.

Overall: Almost a dessert beer with it's sticky, spicy, sweet richness, but bitter as well.

12 ounce bottle -> Samuel Adams Perfect Pint Glass

This beer pours a hazy medium gold with a one finger off white head, not much retention, and not much lacing. Nose is mostly floral. Taste is very hop forward with the malt kind of buried in the mix. No matter. I sort of like the hop bombs. Mouthfeel is abour average, not thick, not thin, with a normal amount of carbonation. Overall I dig this beer.

On tap at Very Nice. Pours a hazy orange/copper with diminishing tan head, some lacing. Aroma is bitter, fruity and floral hops, hints of pine. Taste is nice and hoppy up front, then fades to a gentle sweetness provided by the honey. Moderate carbonation and medium body with a slightly oily finish. An interesting IPA

A: Burnt orange pour, frothy heather colored head is moderate in stay. A thick frothy lacing is the result of the healthy head. a bunch of macro bubbles adhere to the vessel walls with spontaneous release.

S: The nose was sticky pine, sweet resinous citrus, grapefruit and toasted bread. Deep sticky hoppy tones. Flavor was sticky malt, a zing of lemony hops, amarrillo perhaps, with some sticky pine. Toasted depth is evident, a touch dry with a soothing piney hoppiness. Hops tastes like warrior and amarrillo.

M: Mouthful is sticky, with a nice depth substance wise, a bit of silty rought texture (marris otter?). Boozy scotchy caramel leave off the tongue.

O: Overall nice mellowing but deep lemon pine hoppiness. Not gonna smack you around upfront but is more barry white with deep soothing bass like tones behind a malty and toasted backing. Hops warm up beautifully. Overall a solid B rated experience.

Pours a hazy apricot copper color with a dense half inch cream head that dissipates slowly, leaving sheety lacing.

Fresh herbal and floral hops dominate the aroma, becoming piney, and leading into a very present bready, caramel malt backbone. Notes of citrus are secondary, but add complexity. Fair balance between malt and hops.

Citrus hops are more prevalent in the flavor, with lemon and grapefruit underlying the profile throughout. Toasted breadcrust, slightly sweet, carries into the fairly bitter finish, which is somewhat resiny and minty. Develops a bit of a stale character as out warms.

Body is moderate to light, with substantial carbonation, and a touch of alcohol warmth.

Overall, a fairly balanced brew. Good hop character, fairly simple, with substantial malt backbone and a relatively bitter finish. Nothing exceptional, but could be sessionable.

From my friends in Colorado. Pours a slightly murky, dark, burnt orange brown. Smells malty and sweet, and bready but not getting too much hops on the nose. Taste is roasted malt, but not sweet, bitterness emerging mid-taste. Balance is solid, and mouth-feel is substantial, carbonation moderately big. A solid IPA, a little more on the heavier, but not sweet roasted malt side.
