Bottle was part of a 6pk picked up at Wegmans in Warrington, PA

Poured and enjoyed in a DFH pint glass

A - Pour pours a very dark brown with a beige colored 1-2 finger head. Moderate lacing left after drinking.

S - A roasted malt aroma.

T - The initial sip greets you with a slightly bitter, slighly roasted malt flavor. It's rather creamy even though the beer itself it not what I'd consider heavy. After it warms a bit, a real nice sweetness come through. I don't get a lot of chocolate taste per se, but it is good. The alcohol is barely noticable.

M - Thin to moderate consistency. Light carbonation.

O - I enjoyed this beer. I'm sort of surprised by the lower ratings on this beer as I thought it was quite tasty. An easy drinking, easy sessionable stout. Not the best stout I've ever had but decent none the less. Give it a try!

I love the color of this stout as it seems more radiant than most almost to an opal like finish. A four goes to the color because the body is just weak with loads of bubbles and a thin head.

The scent is nice with dry chocolate highlights, tinges of coffee, light Graham cracker and chalky malt.

The taste is rather uneventful, thin in taste and feel and a touch watery. Roast coffee, dry powdered chocolate and burnt, smoky embers touch the tongue but never really grab you. I feel like there's more to be done here, perhaps an Imperial style to really impress but this is somewhat disappointing.

Pours a dark brown with a little bit of light passage, short tan head, significant lacing. Nose is heavily roasted with mild waves of coffee and cocoa. Taste has an astringent chocolate bitterness with bits of sweetness scattered in. Overall a dry flavor with plenty of roast. Mouthfeel is thin and highly carbonated.
