Into a tumbler glass it pours a pale pastel yellow, cloudy with yeast micro sediment. Long lasting foam and a bit of lacing, in spotty clusters here and there. Looks the part of a "rustic white beer" as stated on the label.
At first there's the signature Dupont green bottle skunk, but it soon blows off and you're left with a dusty wheat and lightly sweet citrus meringue cookie aroma. Some grassy, earthy herbs and wet hay comes through also.
Dry, lightly bitter and earthy, with a light orange sweetness complimented by some floral clover and vague herbal notes to balance out. Unmalted wheat lends a gentle creaminess to the body, generally medium bodied, but still light and drinkable. Finishes dry with lingering coriander and wheat flavors. Pleasant and refreshing, as advertised on the back label.

A: The beer is hazy light yellow in color in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down and consistently left a thin head covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of wheat and lemon and orange citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, except that the lemon citrus seems a bit stronger. No spices are perceptible.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The light-bodied nature of this beer makes it very easy to drink. It has some refreshing and thirst-quenching properties.

2012 on the cork
A: A somewhat hazy, pale gold beer. pours with a finger of rocky white head with a good head retention.
S: There is a green glass beer, Saaz hops moderately-light skunked aroma at first that fades after a minute. A moderate wheat sweetness with moderate coriander and orange peel notes. A light earthy hops aroma.
T: Orange and spice are the more prominent flavors followed by a light bit of wheat malt sweetness. Some spice and fruit flavors from the yeast. There is a light hops bitterness and little in the way of hops flavor. The balance is about even with an off-dry finish.
M: A somewhat crispy, medium-light bodied beer with a high level of carbonation.
O: A average example of the style although it's very likely I've got an older bottle on my hand and a fresher sample would rate better.

(Served in a chalice)
2011 on the cork
A- This beer pours a slightly hazy dried lemon color with a thin fizzy white head that fades to a film.
S- This beer has a fresh yeasty dried lemon zest aroma with a slight floral finish. There is a club soda note that comes through as the beer opens.
T- The clean flavor has a scrubbed by a tight fizz. There is some lemon zest and coriander notes with a green hop note and flint taste in the finish. The flavors do grow a bit as it opens but it still stays soft.
M- The light mouthfeel has a full crisp fizz that fills the mouth and no alcohol heat noticed.
O- The light crisp beer is very sessionable with some nice flavors. It would be nice if there was a little less fizz and the head doesn’t last long at all.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2011 printed on the cork. Pours lightly hazy and cloudy golden straw color with a 2 finger fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap than lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big apple, pear, grape, lemon zest, coriander, orange peel, hay, grass, herbal, white pepper, wheat, and light funk. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity. Taste of apple, pear, grape, lemon, orange peel, tangy wheat, bread, hay, grass, coriander, floral, light pepper, and light funkiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, lemon zest, wheat, bread, grass, floral, hay, coriander, light pepper, and light funk on the finish for a bit. Damn nice flavor balance with a high amount of complexity; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very crisp and fairly prickly mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very excellent witbier! There is a high amount of flavor complexity and balance; and it is extremely smooth and crisp to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.

750ml Caged and corked green bottle. Poured into a Hoegaarden glass.
Appearance: Pale, straw yellow in color. Mostly clear with a slight haze. two finger white foamy head that has a pretty long retention. No lacing.
Aroma: Uh-oh thought this smelled a little skunky at first. White-wine fruitiness. Light apple cider. Plenty of spice, coriander. A bit of funkiness to it.
Taste: At first offers a quick fruitiness to it. A crisp and light apple cider comes to mind. Tangy. Coriander and orange peel spice. herbal. again some slight funk. Faintly pick up a little biscuity malt.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and dry. Lighter bodied. Soft carbonation. Very drinkable. There's some decent flavors going on.

On tap at Lucky Baldwin’s Trappiste Pub & Cafe in Pasadena, CA.
Pours a hazy light yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, spices, and yeast. Taste is much the same with a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

A-
750ml into a tulip. Pours a slightly hazed dull pale yellow, dense pure white head retains nicely, good lacing.
Aroma is of light skinned fruits covered in powered sugar. Up beat spicing of bitter orange rind and white pepper atop a minor musty note.
The taste has a pleasant little sweetness. Wheat and citrus defines the flavor. The slightly spiced, zero bitter, mildly dry aftertaste doesn't linger. Pairs well with delicate food. Very thin tingly mouthfeel feels like it aggressively evaporates. Interesting, the swallow seems in sum less than the sip. Complexity increases with warmth.

Pour is all witbier hazy yellow with a good sized white head. Smells of wheat, orange peel, horse blanket and saison yeast. Taste is lots of citrus and wheat with some light funk that goes into a sort of grass like earthy aftertaste, dry finish. Mouthfeel is light and with lively carbonation. Overall im not a huge fan of wheat based beers but the way Dupont can turn anything into a saison just amazes me. Great beer seek this out.
