Another beer for my Unibroue tulip glass. Pours a nice hazy gold with a big champagne-style head that is very yeasty; head reminds me of a hefe weizen. Smell is very yeasty while the taste has apples and a nice peppery spike that gives it a good kick. You can definitely pick out that Belgian yeast in the taste.
Great stuff, quite drinkable, though the alcohol does catch up with you eventually.

THIS is what beer should always taste like. Smooth, flavorful, but always crisp and refreshing at the finish. Very strong, fruity and citrus flavors up front, mixed with a heavy wheat body. The finish is pure summer hefeweizen. The Belgium people know beer like no other. I am in awe of this simple, yet powerful, brew.

Pours a hazy golden with particulates floating throughout and a large, puffy 2 inch ivory head that slowly dissipates, leaving little lacing.
Mustiness, pear, tangerine, and coriander form the initial aroma. There's lots of belgian yeast character. Lemon, floral hops, and a touch of horse blanket emerge.
Lemon, belgian yeast, and earthiness open the flavor profile, with a fairly beast malt backbone kicking in mid palate, with peppery notes closing out the finish, which is decidedly dry.
Body is moderate, with spritzy carbonation providing a refreshing mouthfeel.
Fruity, earthy, and dry, this is definitely a refreshing beer. It's a bit more earthy and dry than I prefer, but great example of the style.
