Appearance: Light yellow, and opaque. Strong carbonation but fine bubbles rather than the larger ones we Americans are fond of. Belgium lace that lasts forever. Light head.

Aroma: Light yeast tones with a bit of lemon and a touch of flowers. Pleasant, but not overwhelming.

Taste: Bitter upfront, borderline too much for my taste, but quickly fades away leaving the bready/grain taste that I enjoy. Hints of sour throughout. Ends dry which seems quite appropriate.

Mouthfeel: Pleasant and light. Present without dominating the palate. Slightly above average, but could have provided a bit more pop.

Drinkability: For those who like hops and grain this is a very good beer to look for.

THIS is what beer should always taste like. Smooth, flavorful, but always crisp and refreshing at the finish. Very strong, fruity and citrus flavors up front, mixed with a heavy wheat body. The finish is pure summer hefeweizen. The Belgium people know beer like no other. I am in awe of this simple, yet powerful, brew.

Pours a hazy golden with particulates floating throughout and a large, puffy 2 inch ivory head that slowly dissipates, leaving little lacing.

Mustiness, pear, tangerine, and coriander form the initial aroma. There's lots of belgian yeast character. Lemon, floral hops, and a touch of horse blanket emerge.

Lemon, belgian yeast, and earthiness open the flavor profile, with a fairly beast malt backbone kicking in mid palate, with peppery notes closing out the finish, which is decidedly dry.

Body is moderate, with spritzy carbonation providing a refreshing mouthfeel.

Fruity, earthy, and dry, this is definitely a refreshing beer. It's a bit more earthy and dry than I prefer, but great example of the style.
