2008 batch. Poured from a 750 ml. bottle into a Hennepin flute.
A--Pours a fluffy, foamy, rocky white three finger mass of cumulonimbic paradise. Pillowy chunks float on top of great head retention and patches of sticky foam litter the sides of the glass. Inspiring looking body, too--my special lady friend calls it "occluded orange." I call it Tang. In the interest of compromise we'll call it the color of a mimosa, or a bellini. Bright and inviting.
S--Super funkay. Clover, wet hay, and a lingering tangy sweetness, almost like a candied orange peel. Lotta barn in this one from that kerazy Dupont yeast.
T--Signature Dupont with more citric and sour elements. Mostly follows the nose, with that honey tangerine-like tangy sweetness up front, followed by more grassy and wet hay notes, and a bitter, almost sour finish. Musty and dry in the weirdest spot in my mouth--on the roof of it, toward the back. If you have ever eaten a lemon seed by mistake, then you know perfectly the end of the flavor profile on this one. Unique blend of flavors, and somewhere I even get some sort of spice--coriander, I think, though I can't place it as it's buried behind the yeast, which is nowhere near a complaint.
M&D--Mouthfeel goes all over the road, from astringent when cold to more chalky as it warms. Definitely mellows as it heats up, and the dry, musty flavors bloom into a pleasant rather than biting astringency. Drinkability is scary at 9 and a half, as you can't taste much of it.
Seems like a challenging beer for the holiday season, but I really enjoyed its wackiness. Great change of pace from the bocks and dunkels I've been trying out.

From corked bottle into a Corsendonk chalice. Hard to read, but it looks like identifying numbers: L021300...could be several years old.
Color is golden with small beige head...lots of floaties as the bottle gets moved around.
Aroma of sweet malts, powder sugar, fresh baked bread.
Medium carbonation and mouthfeel.
Flavors of floral hops, candy sugar, coriander, grassy hops, light pepper and herbs, some astringency. While this bottle is, I'm guessing, a tad past prime it's nonetheless very tasty, and my numerous experiences with this beer fresh and aged have always been positive. Very flavorful, full bodied, complex and satisfying.

Had this on tap at the Delirium Café.
I remember this was a really nice beer, light fruits, sweet but still pretty dry.
A nice and even slightly refreshing beer that goes down easily but at 10% this is not a weak beer. Hides the alcohol really well by the way.
I let a few girls try it, who were drinking cocktails and they all liked it.
No elaborate review this time as I already had some beers and I was with friends but I will certainly but it and replace this temporal review.
