Poured from the caged and corked 750ml bottle into a pilsner style glass. this bottle of Moinette Blond has been aged for two years or more.
Appearance- Beer pours clear and golden with a half finger of creamy white head with ample lacing on the sides of the glass. Carbonation rises from the bottom of the glass as if this were a pilsner. Very nice on looks at least.
Smell- Rich banana, lemon, solid wheat content, light malts, very yeasty. This smells very nice with light fruits, blood oranges, light alcoholic phenolics. Somewhat medicinal, very nice upfront.
Taste- Light malts and a creamy softness not really expected on a high gravity beer. Hops are there but very balanced for a Belgian style. Yeasty phenolics are there and welcome considering that Dupont has a large yeast profile. There are no signs of age at two years old.
Mouthfeel- Medium full bodied, lighly carbonated, creamy, somewhat warming, smooth.
Drinkability- Very drinkable.. I could give it a try in a four pack as well. Very nice considering it's age.

750ml bottle: Pulled the cork from this and found that it said 2006 on it. It should be interesting to see how it has held up after almost 7 years. It opened with a fairly loud "POP". It pours a fairly clear, darker golden color. There was a small white head on it that didn’t linger long or leave much lacing. The aroma is good, but a bit subdued. Definitely yeasty and bready nose. Lighter aromas of spice, banana and lemon. Maybe a touch of Brett. The taste is very good. It is extremely smooth. Bready, lightly spiced, hint of lemon. A very small hint of sourness. Very nice!

2009 is stamped on the cork
(Served in a tulip glass)
A- This beer pours a hazy golden orange body after a soft pop of the cork and a thin big bubbled ring of white is supported by a lazy carbonation.
S- The clean aroma has a soft dry grapefruit Brett not to it but that is about it.
T- The mineral water flavor blends with some dry caramel malt and a soft dry bitterness in the dry finish. There is some Brett grapefruit notes that grow just a bit as the beer opens.
M- This beer has a light mouthfeel with no real carbonation and no alcohol heat noticed.
O- This beer is nice to drink even though more carbonation would have really helped out. The Brett flavor carries the beer as the rest is pretty light. I was surprised at the taste when I pulled the cork and saw it was a 2009.

Beer is slightly cloudy golden with a large white head. Head recedes at a moderate pace. Only a bit of lace.
Smell contains yeast and bread pretty strongly. Some grassy and lemon notes. Quite floral.
Taste is yeast focused, with bready and spicy flavours. Noble hops. A bit of citrusy fruit in there, mainly lemon. Fairly dry, a bit bitter.
Medium bodied, highly carbonated. In keeping with the style but too carbonated for my tastes.
Overall, very good.
