Lot A..the joint pops off without a hiss and a bit of tugging. A still one indeed. No head whatsoever, a few little chunks and otherwise a tawny amber color. Tawny Amber? I went to high school with her!
A little raspberry aroma, but it's a very real raspberry, delighting, enrapturing, definitely a bit of funk accompanying, musty old raspberry beer. I can get down with this.
Sour and puckering tartness with some barnyard aged raspberries. pretty delicious and drinkable if not otherworldly.

Purchased at a really nice beer and wine store in Annapolis and served in a Cigar City snifter.
A: After a soft cork pop, the brew poured out a sort of hazy (wheat-esque) pink color without much of a head to speak of and with little visible carbonation.
S: Nice smell of sour raspberries, much more potent than I was expecting. I could tell already there was going to be a nice acetic bite on this.
T: Weird. Extremely sour without much milkiness to balance that out. I wouldn't call the berry's contribution cough syrup exactly, but it wasn't enjoyable either.
M: Mouth-puckeringly, jaw lockingly sour, very few bubbles or spritz to space that out, and odd fruit aftertaste that was slightly rotten in its disposition.
O: This one started out okay, but in the end, this was quite a misfire.

Pours a cloudy orange with no head and minimal carbonation.
Aroma of raspberry, lacto, caramel malt and faint oak.
Taste is like the aroma with a salty sour acidic finish. The raspberry is dry and mild. The lacto is prominent. The texture is oily.
Overall, I'd like it much better with some bubbles and realize flat is appropriate for the style. It's quite pricey at $15 per 12oz. and not really worth it to me.

Bottle to Ommegang wine glass
A: It is a dark orange color with lots of red raspberry floaters which seems kind of excessive also it looks totally flat there is literally not a bubble, not really what I was expecting.
S: there is a hint of funk to it but not much and there is a little bit of raspberry smell but not much as the whole smell just is not that strong
T: yuck immediately regret spending $13 for this it tastes like horrible expirment gone wrong. The first taste you get is kind of a dull juicy taste that is definitely raspberries but not in a good way then the lambic kicks in and it becomes a mess of juicy and funk that is honestly hard to drink and tastes like viniger. Further the fact that this is completely flat makes it even harder to drink.
M: First of all this is completely flat there is no carbonation so there is that. Thin but not smooth so it doesn't go down well, one of the worst I've had.
O: I dont understand the kriek is so good idk what happened here total drain pour couldn't finish is one of the worst beers I've ever had a complete mess how they even released this and it has a $13 price tag it should come with a warning sign saying "tear your money up now" a little upset on this one DO NOT BUY

Reviewed from notes from 8/8/12
A- Pours a deep golden/amber with no head or carbonation to speak of.
S- Funky aroma with vinegar and some mild raspberry coming through.
T- The taste mirrors the aroma almost perfectly. The raspberry isn't as prevalent as it could be.
M- Somewhat thin and very little carbonation.
O- A decent sour, but not exceptional.

Thanks to Ed (eagles22) for sharing this brew. Poured into a snifter, the brew appears a neon orange color that displays perfect polished clarity. A white ring of bubbles hangs around the edge of the glass.
The smell contains a hint of earthy pitty raspberry quality before getting all funke up with elements of earth, cheese and oak. There is some citrus fruit character towards the back that is somewhat reminescent of the citrus component of fresh raspberries.
The taste is shocking at first. Dare I say battery acid just got into my mouth along with vinegar and acetone. A little oak evolves as it warms along with citrus and notes if earthy raspberry. Vinegar becomes a fairly dominating character once it takes hold of your palate.
This is a medium to light bodies brew that is still. The color of this brew is borederline fake and surreal. The aroma is quite pleasant and while a bit harsh for me, the taste was pretty good as well. I am thankful for the opportunity to try it and appreciate that Ed. I would not be able to take a bottle of this down myself though.
