A- Pours a slightly hazy copper/amber body with a good 2-finger white that shows some decent retention. Lace is pretty sticky on this one.

S- Citrus blast of hops up front, some slight acrid aroma, some caramel, some grassiness, and a slight muskiness.

T- Sweet caramel malts up front, some copper flavor, slight grassiness, but the citrusy flavors aren't there as much as they were in the aroma. Almost a sugar-like after taste.

MF- Medium bodied with flavors that do stick to the palate very well.

O- A pretty damn good beer that I'm very happy I got the chance to try

12 oz brown bottle with a freshness date.

Pours a hazy orangish light amber. Chill haze clears as the beer warms to a clearer light copper. Thick head that slowly sinks into some great lacing. Smells a little bready with caramel malt and floral hops that are not to aggressive. Taste is a sweat caramel malt up front with great hop balance through the middle and a clear bitter finish that lingers on the palate. Mouthfeel is slightly slippery with medium-low carbonation.

Overall a great american pale ale with good hop presence and a great balance of malts. My first beer from Deschutes and definitely not my last.
