22 oz. bomber into a "La Fin Du Monde" specialty tulip...
A: Poured a nice copper color with a huge 3 finger rocky head. Super sticky lacing throughout with moderate head retention. A very nice looking beer.
S: Lots of citrus hops in the nose, specifically orange rind and grapefruit followed by a nice little blast of pine. Noticeable trace of alcohol upon warming. The malts get lost in the hops.
T: Sweet and malty backbone with a long hop bitterness that hangs into the semi-dry finish. Good balance for an Imperial IPA. Lots of citrus tones with some spice thrown in. Slight alcohol burn as it warms in the glass.
M: Strong medium body with lots of oils and resin from the hops. Very slick in the mouth with a good amount of carbonation.
D: The alcohol is fairly well hidden in the balance of malts and hops, however as I neared the end of my bomber, I could definately tell this beer had every bit of its 8.75% ABV rating. This one will sneak up on you.
I really enjoyed this beer, and I will say it paired well with a peppered bacon & swiss grilled cheese sandwich on artisan bread at 12:35am!!!

Looks like an IPA, bordering on amber color, nice off white head.
Heavy pine and citrus with some whiffs of cerealy malt on the nose.
Pretty good, definitely a mouthful of flavor. Would be a nice compliment/combatant for some stinky blue cheese.
A little heavy on the tongue, with a bite of boozey aftertaste. Despite that, I hadn't noticed the ABV on the bottle, and was really surprised it was so high when I saw 10.6% here, so that says something. Actually I think I'm starting to believe it.
I'd drink it again with some potent cheese, but one glass is enough.
