22oz bottle from SeaofShells (awesome extra!). Best by 4/6/13 (bottled 1/6/13?). Served in a Sweetwater snifter.

Pours a crisp orange hued gold with a tight half finger of vanilla head that leaves small islands of lace.

Nose is rich with citrus and piney hops. A bit of spice and some bready sweet malts.

Big, sweet and malty flavors throughout with plenty of orangey, pine, peach and sweetened citrus rind followed by traces of caramel and white pepper. The booze is there but by taste alone, I'd have guessed 8.5-9% instead of it's hefty 10.6%abv. Nice.

Oily, slick, heavy-side-of-medium feel with nice mild carbonation. Long hoppy sweet finish.

This is good stuff. I really enjoy a malty sweet DIPA and this sure fits the bill. Don't get me wrong, there are still hops-a-plenty but it sure is thick and rich. I highly recommend it to fans of DIPAs on the malty side.

Looks like an IPA, bordering on amber color, nice off white head.

Heavy pine and citrus with some whiffs of cerealy malt on the nose.

Pretty good, definitely a mouthful of flavor. Would be a nice compliment/combatant for some stinky blue cheese.

A little heavy on the tongue, with a bite of boozey aftertaste. Despite that, I hadn't noticed the ABV on the bottle, and was really surprised it was so high when I saw 10.6% here, so that says something. Actually I think I'm starting to believe it.

I'd drink it again with some potent cheese, but one glass is enough.
