Slightly hazy red amber with big fluffy tan head with great retention and good lacing. Bright citrus and floral hop aroma with some herbal notes. Balanced sweetness with good hop bitter balance. Clear hop flavors following the aroma with a moderate linger. Herbal bite with rye and maybe some pine. Moderate-high carbonation, lightly creamy and fuzzy with a tinge of a metallic feel between the swallow and linger.

My impression is this is a double red-IPA crossover. Very interesting and quite flavorful. I could see this as a polarizing brew due to an abnormal flavor profile for an IPA. There really was no taste of alcohol despite the ABV, it was either well blended into the flavor or just drowned out by the robustness of the profile. Certainly not the easiest to drink but definitely a worthwhile beer to pick up.
