Shared at JLindros Birthday Whale Tasting. Reviewed from notes.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a clear mahogany hue with a light quarter inch head that faded relatively quickly leaving no lacing.
S - Aromas of earthy, musty cellar. Flashes of malt and balsamic vinegar and touches of caramel and molasses.
T - Taste has light chocolate notes, sour funk, malts, vinegar notes, and this weird brine like flavour that doesn't really taste good.
M - Mouthfeel is solid enough with decent enough carbonation.
O - Overall, glad I got to try this unique beer but with is was well...better.

Shared at my Birthday whale tasting. Thanks to Xenon for sharing.
Light fizzy head, murky mahogany brown color.
Nose is balsamic vinegar, pickle juice strangely, little caramel, molasses, hint of funk, sawdust, sour malt, hint of plasticy phenols.
Taste weird woody glue phenolic start, sour brown malt, molasses brown sugary flavors, fluffy light malt vinegar, bitter brine like, light warming booze.
Mouth is med, little slimy like, decent carb.
Overall not that great, for such a unique beer I was expecting something great, but oh well.

Pours a murky dark amber color with a small khaki head. Starts off with aromas of sour cherry, balsamic vinegar, leather, and red wine vinegar. A mild grape aroma and some hints of wood. Tastes very vinegary and vinous with a lot of tannins, wood, and dark fruit. Cherry and grape dominate the fruit category. The beer is very leathery and dry. Just kind of meh.
