Brewed for the 30th anniversary of Hotel Erasmus in Brugge, Belgium. The name "Dertig" translates to the "30" in Flemish. Available only on tap at the Erasmus. Sampled on 3/20/2010.
A- Poured from the tap with a massive creamy white head, with a texture similar to a head from a nitro tap. Incredible sticky lacing throughout. The body was a well-carbonated opaque and turbid golden yellow. The head was well-retained throughout the drink.
S- Smells like lemon meringue pie- no other way for me to describe it... complete with crust, sweet lemon filling, and a toasted meringue... not cloyingly sweet... just wonderfully interesting!
T- A fantastic replicate of the nose with a lingering flavor of homemade lemon meringue pie through the finish. A little quinine-like hop bitterness kicks in the finish, just to remind you that it's a beer.
M- A big, thick and creamy body with a veritable velvet blanket of carbonation. Almost like the texture of that same fresh meringue perceived in the nose and palate. Incredible.
D- Goes down wonderfully smooth- with the alcohol very well hidden. Quaffable. Very quaffable. Only wish I could take some home in a bottle!!

Review from 7/19/2009 when in Belgium.
Bottle at Erasmus (thanks Tom!).
Cloudy golden-orange color with a nice white head.
Aroma of Belgian yeast, mild spices, and perfume.
Flavor of pale malt, spices, and light fruits.
Slightly dry with a medium body. Very tasty.
