I found this place due to a recommendation, and I have no problem passing it along. This really is an amazing pub. The selection is far better than most and the knowledge behind the bar is outstanding. I think that that is the strength of the place, the people who clearly love beer and serve it with passion.

Just as the staff are beer advocates, you'll find yourself in good company with the regulars. Everyone seems to be very interested in the finer points of the many beers available.

I intend on going back regularly. That should indicate how much I liked it. (I hear the food is great too - can't wait to try it)

Looks like a traditional pub from the outside, but once inside the selection of beers is far from the usual traditional pub! Great selection of beers on hand pulls, and enormous selection of bottled beers from all over the world (can vary with each visit!) This is a little way out from the centre of the town, but worth the walk if you have the time. My only criticism would be that on the occasion of our visit one mid afternoon, the barman knew nothing at all about the bottled beers, or seemed to have much interest in them, and was rather off hand when I enquired as to what they had.

Apart from that (and maybe I was just unlucky) definately worth a visit along with 'Out of The Vaults' when on a real ale tour of Leicester pubs!
