Appearance: Slightly hazy bronze. Pours a rather small head.
Aroma: Malty, but fresh. Raisins and yeast, hint of citrus.
Taste: Quite mild, but tasty. A bit bland on the face of it, but there are some nice fruity esters. Citrus-like hop bitterness in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, fairly low carbonation. Pleasant to drink.
Overall: A decent take on the English bitter, fresh and easy to drink.

The colour is deep copper – pale brown (29 EBC). The liquid is clear. The two finger head is compact and firm with an elegant crater on top.
The (rather mild) smell got some lightly roasted flavours. Dry hints of mixed fruits, some unclean notes of cereals and wood. Some clean bitterness, caramel/toffee, hay, and old-fashioned fruit candy.
The taste got some of the lightly crisp bread/fibreboard flavours that I recon from some other Slottskällan ales. Otherwise, the malt is smooth and semi-sweet. Some dried and fresh fruits. Clean bitter flavours emerge and grows in the aftertaste. Some flour and rye bread. The finish is medium bitter and a bit creamy.
The carbonation is mild; small fresh bubbles. The liquid is smooth.

(500 ml bottle, in Sweden). Golden brown colour, good head, moderate but pleasant hoppy aroma with some caramel; malts and heavy bitterness in the flavour and aftertaste, perhaps too bitter in the finish. Not very complex. Decent effort, but the English do it better!

Pours an clear, orange-golden beer with some carbonation and a thick cream coloured foam that dissipates fast.
Smell is sweet and bitter, some flowers in there together with sugar. A bit metal in there as well though, not good :(
Taste is bitter with a nice sweetness. Very malty with sweet caramel tones and flowery traces. Somewhat watery though with the taste of metal can in the start, surprisingly since this beer comes on bottle.
This could have been a better brew if the taste was thicker and more characteristic. Sadly for slottskällan, one of their lesser brews.

Decent. hoppy citrus nose, some burnt malts, quite light, burnt, edgy, hoppy and um, er, bitter. I liked it, but it didn't quite do it for me, they make some much better beers, nice for session drinking, its OK.
