Drank on tap at Hilton in Gdansk, Poland

A - Light, clear yellow/gold in color, minimal head, very slight lacing on glass.

S - Slight citrus, with more biscuity malt scent.

T - Similar to the smell, with hints of apple, not a lot going on here, tastes are very subtle.

M - Mild bodied and mild carbonation.

O - Feel like I'm drinking an upscale Bud, crisp finish would be very refreshing on a hot day.

What can I say, I like my beer. I had this one for the first time on a whim the other day and was pleasantly surprised. After the first taste out of the bottle, I had to pour it to see what was hiding in the bottle. My wife who generally likes pale ales said she liked it after the first sip. She asked me what it was. "Well" I said, "it looks like a honey ale but has an aftertaste like a lager." Very nice over all and at least as good as Fisher and three of that of Peroni, without the price.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a golden- light amber color with a two finger white head. The head fades relatively quickly leaving a lighter level of lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is relatively light overall and consists mainly of some bready malt smells as well as some corn syrup and a caramel sweet smell.

Taste – The taste begins heaviest of a corn sweetness and nice grainy malt taste. The grain has a large cereal nature with cracked wheat and a corn malt flavor. As the flavor advances some of the sweet corn dries out with a light amount of caramel flavor taking it’s place. In the end the flavors that linger on the tongue produce a rather crisp and clean taste on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is average as well. Both are nice for maintaining a decent balance between the easy drinking nature of the brew as well as for keeping the grainier and malty taste of the brew from being lost.

Overall – Not a bad brew, but nothing too exceptional. It is rather easy drinking and refreshing but lacks much complexity and is fairly simple overall.
