500 ml bottle
Pours clear amber with large off-white head with excellent retention. Aroma is pleasant combination of fruit (pears, apricots), yeast, pale malt and herbal notes.
Taste is more simple, fruity notes again (apples mostly), herbal bitterness that starts to seem harsh towards the end of the glass, light notes of alcohol. Finishes with distinct dryish bittery notes.
In some way it resembles to apple cider. Mouthfeel is solid medium with less than moderate carbonation.
Drinkable and pleasant, but it seems a bit too fruity.

Gravity cask at Churckey.
Pours a rather light copper color with an off white head and a good amount of lacing. Nose brings forward some pale, bready malts alongside a bit of fruit notes. It makes me think a bit of an ultra light apple cider, which doesn't sound appetizing in a light beer like this, but it wasn't bad--just different. Taste was good, but not on par with many of the others available. A bit cidery with hints of stone fruits. Feel was light and refreshing, although a bit bigger than some others on at the event. Drank quite well, but wasn't one of my favorites.

Gravity cask at Gourmet Haus Staudt, served in a 0.5L stein. Hazy but not entirely opaque, pale amber in color. A dense frothy head sustains well, sticking all over the glass. This looks amazing.
The nose is great, apricot-like yeast at balance with crackery pils malt and herbal noble hops. Exceptionally fragrant, yet subtle and balanced.
Taste displays similar balance, with perhaps a bit more emphasis on the bitter hop bite. The pale malt foundation is crisp and bright while the yeast lends a clean fruity note reminiscent of apricot or peach. The mouthfeel is light and dry, yet not thin, with light-to-moderate carbonation - it's hard to imagine better texture. It ends on a firm and bitter note that's faintly herbal.
Drinkability on a beer like this is frighteningly high, a 1 to 5 scale really doesn't do it justice. I hope I can revisit this some time in the not too distant future, it might be my favorite kellerbier to date.
