Purchased at the brewery release in February 2011. Basement cellared in a cardboard case until being refrigerated a month ago. Poured in a 12oz. snulip for the review.
A slightly rusty cap was revealed upon opening. It pours a murky brownish-orange producing a thin cap of white foam that quickly settles to a ring around the glass. The smell is grapefruit, pine, malt and a hint of carraway spice. A sweet fruity and malty start morphs into grapefruit, pine, floral and a hint of caraway spice in the finish. The feel is somewhat syrupy and a touch bitter.
This was an excellent beer fresh and has aged very well over nearly 10 years. I'm almost sad it is my last bottle but it was time to unleash it. A tasty trip down memory lane for me!

Bottle shared thanks to kermis. Vintage 2011. Dark caramel pour with a thin tan head. Notes of caramel, cherries, spice, dried fruit, sweet coffee, chocolate. Medium bodied, light carbonation and a sticky sweet finish.
