The Ramstein Blonde pours a cloudy golden color. It had a very small fizzy head, that disappeared very quickly.
Its aroma is some bananas, yeast, and spicy cloves.
The taste is sweet malt and some subtle banana and other fruitiness initially. It has a slightly spicy clove finish, with an almost sweet aftertaste.
The beer is medium bodied, but I was surprised at the total lack of carbonation.
Overall, it is a nice, easy drinking wheat beer. The low carbonation hurts it some. I don't like the banana / beer combo, but it was pretty subtle in this beer.

2-finger off-white head dissapates rapidly, leaving a cloudy gold-apricot body with little lacing. Nose is full of wheat and banana, a bit of clove, slightly biscuity, with a citrus undercurrent. Underpowered carbonation and a thin mouthfeel carry similar flavors, though lacking in intensity, with extra sweetness from esters. Alcohol is a little too evident, but pleasant. Finishes clean and easily quaffable due to its passiveness.
I am somewhat disappointed with High Point, because they are a relatively local brewery, and I have their products on tap, and they are phenomenal. The bottled products are simply inconsistent. I returned a sixpack after I realized the first bottle was heavily oxidized to the point of being undrinkable. It is unfortunate because I know they have an excellent product, and there shouldn't be this kind of differential between tap and bottle. High Point, please fix this!

A - Interesting pour... Tons of chunky fizzy bubbles form into one fingers worth of crystal white head... Impressive retention... Tons of fast paced swimming carbonation throughout... Noticeable sediment throughout... Pale golden straw color with an ever so faint haziness...
S - Lemon zest... Wheat... Grain... Corriander... Clove... Faint hint of yeast... Pears... Pale malts....
T - Lemon cough drops... Slightly sugary... Wheat and grain... Some faint peppery notes... Tart...
M - Slightly creamy head... Surprisingly heavy... Biting prickly carbonation... Crisp... Medium bodied... A slight tartness...
D - A surprisingly assertive hefeweizen... Overly produced and manufactured and less natural, but still enjoyable...

A - pours a somewhat cloudy bright golden color with barely a fingers worth of head and that quckly dissipates.
S - typical hefeweizen aroma. Lots of sweetness. Hints of clove, bananna and apple.
T - follows the nose pretty much. Sweet with lots of fruit esters and has a long sweet pear sort of finish to it.
M - light and delicate. Higher in carb.
D - nice beer to pair with some light summer fair. Nothing mind blowing but a decent brew none the less.

Pours a fully hazy lemon-straw color and is topped by a pale thin tan head. The aroma is quite yeasty with notes of lemon, wheat, apple and a hint of clove. The taste is a bit more sour than I was expecting, it is actually quite nice and tart. There is definitely a lemon like component to this beer as well as notes of crisp apple. The body is light and refreshing with a bit of chewy yeastiness to it as well. At this point this is definitely low on the traditional clove and/ or banana notes, but this is most like due to the age of this beer. I find that hefeweizens tend to lose those aspects pretty quickly. All in all this is a nice, tasty refreshing brew. Thanks to PisskeyNights for the opportunity to try this beer.

easy medium mouthfeel, with moderate yeast. Good carbonation. Banana aroma. Muted yellow, little head. Fruit, led by apple, cloves. Hint of lemon. Malt at end, .This was not as good on tap 1.75 years alter at David Copperfields though balanced with good hops, a high carbonation and a hop and yeast aroma.

Not bad, not bad.
Poured into my Erdinger witbier glass. Darker than some other hefes I've had. Dark, dull gold with a decent head that fades surprisingly fast. Looks quite carbonated.
Aroma is wheat, sugary oranges, lemon peel, candy, and whiffs of banana.
Taste is hard candy or toffee upfront, and then sweet oranges or pineapple and some pepper and spice. Not as full in flavour as some others in the style.
Typically smooth mouthfeel, good body. Not much aftertaste.

O.K. first off the pour was hazy orange with a decent head that fizzled out quick. The second thing was I did not like the aroma on this beer. It smelled a bit skunky and the company website lists cloves and apples as part of the aroma. I did detect some sour granny apple notes, but mostly some malts and a bit of wheat.
The taste was a lot better. Wheat, citrus and yeast notes. Some malts, cloves and a touch of hops.
The feel was smooth and a tad creamy. Very clean and a pleasure to drink.
Notes: My only complaint was the aroma and that was all,the rest proved to be a worthy experience.

Poured from a bottle into my pint glass...
A - pours a hazy golden color with 1/4 inch of foam that quickly disappeared
S - strong wheat aroma with bits of banana
T - strong wheat taste with a hint of citrus, grapefruit at the end
M/D - not a bad beer, it is drinkable but nothing really stands out as I have to have it.

Cloudy gold pour with hardly any trace of a head, even as I got more aggressive with the pour. There's a real crisp pear flavor to this one with quite a nice little clove edge rounding it out. Thin mouthfeel with a bit of an astringent feel to it. Overall, not too bad, but really nothing I'm going to write home about.

This beer poured a light, slightly cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma was a sweet blend of fruits (banana, lemon) and sugars. Some hints of spices as well.
Wheaty, bread-like flavor comes through initially, with strong banana esters that went nicely with the strawberries I was eating. Spices were somewhat reserved. Minor hop presence, as well as a citrusy aftertaste. Mouthfeel was thin and carbonated. Overall a pretty good hefeweizen, not quite as full flavored as you may expect though.

Part of NEPA BC split #19. Half of the bottles in this case had labels and the rest did not. Weird.
Pours a hazed golden color with about one finger of white head. Head settles to just a thin lace, and leaves a rimjob of stick.
Smells of sweet banana and bubblegum, wheat, some fruity esters, lots of yeast and a bit of clove. The sweetness is really working for me, I like it.
Taste is not as sweet as the smell. Too bad, I was digging the sweetness, and since I'm not a big hefe fan, I was hoping for more of the same. It's a bit on the bland side to be honest, and it's quite dry. Some wheat and lemon flavor, with a bit of tartness. There's also banana, some clove, and an earthy yeastiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and quite dry, with a clean finish and very soft carbonation. A little on the thin side.
I'm not a big hefe fan and this didn't really wow me anyway. I actually really liked the sweet aroma, which was easily the highlight of the beer. Not too shabby, but nothing special either.

Poured a golden haze with a decent head. I smelled clove and banana and was anixous to dive in. The taste had the obvious wheat with hints of bubblegum and banana. Nothing that blew me away. The mouthfeel was decent although I prefer a little more carbonation in my Hefe's. It is a drinkable and refreshing beer but not one of my favorite versions of the style.

Heavy pour and still poor head retention atop this golden wheat colored brew, though the nose is potent and pretty nice - heapings of wheat malt, bubblegum and clove, all of which follow suit in the flavor, though not nearly with the same complexity, possibly because of the oxidation. A good amount of estery sweetness is present as well; the yeasty spices more mild. Alcohol is surprisingly present and warming. Tingling carbonation in the finish. Pretty good, but I expected more. This sample has some oxidation going on which has negatively effected it.

Had a bottle at Liberty St. Tavern in Allentown, PA. This is basically a lighter hefeweizen (being blonde and all). That being the case and taking this beer what it is - it's good. The weizen yeast dominates the flavor with a smooth, slightly creamy and fruity spice on top of a light, but sweet wheat (I got just a hint of sourdough once) and barley.Overall, quite a nice beer for the summer. Try one before the cold drives you to darker ales.

High Point is local, but surprisingly, this beer isn't that easy to find or readily available around here. With spring finally here and in full bloom, I figured that this would be a good brew for the season and great to try since I haven't had any of their offerings since I enjoyed their Winter Wheat several months ago. This was a great beer, but it certainly didn't live up to it's potential either.
The pour was great, even though the head didn't last too long and the lacing was nearly nonexistent. There was a fine dusting on the bottom of the bottle that was worth swirling and pouring on top of my point, and the brew had a wonderful translucent goldenrod hue to it. The taste was very solid, but not as colorful as I had hoped. Banana, coriander, and clove were there, but there was nearly no hop flavor to it and the aftertaste wasn't very memorable since it was just a heavy malt presence and not much else to it. The carbonation and mouthfeel were very nice though, and I loved the way it tingled and felt on the upper half of my mouth both during my sips, and afterwards.
I'd certainly have this beer again. The 5.50% ABV nearly makes this a good session brew and it was something that I wouldn't chug nor take too slow in enjoying. I wish it had a bit more oomph and surprise to it. It's very nonpretentious and unsurprising since the first sip wasn't any different than the last. Being well-crafted is always a plus, and high point has a very great yeast strain and basis to build their portfolio of offerings from. If only their flagship was a bit more adventurous and aware of it's potential...

Poured into a weizen glass a hazed light yellow with some peach-like hue a large fluffy, clingy white head that settles very slowly leaving a globs of lace behind.First off I detected alot of smoke near rauch beer like really with notes of toasted grain and clove, flavors are very wheaty with a touch of odd funk and clove not much citrus going on.Cereal-like on the palate and refreshing but still a little odd but its still a solid American wheat beer.

This beer poured as a lightly hazy yellow color, the head didn't last very long at all. The smell was yeasty and had some citrus on the nose. The taste was of lemons, clove and banana. The mouthfeel had plenty of carbonation that dances on the tongue. Overall it's got a lot of wheat and blonde elements to it. It's an interesting brew, glad I tried it but isn't something I'd seek out in the future.

This beer is listed as a Hefe Weizen, but on the bottle it says that it is a lager, which goes against the standard Hefe Weizen which is an ale as far as I know.
Appearance - Gigantic white head that sticks around and thick lacing that nearly coats the glass completely, perfect for any wheat beer. The beer is blonde as the name suggests, but it is a hazy blonde. There are also streams of fast carbonation that helps keep the head inflated.
Smell - Apple cider and some spiciness. There are also hints of alcohol; it smells good, but definitely not a standard Hefe Weizen aroma.
Taste This is an unusual beer. At first it has a sweet and sour apple taste, but it finishes with more of a grain/malt taste generally not found in beers of this style. No hops to speak of, but that fits for the style. Yeast flavor is equally subdued, which is odd for the style. It is clear that this was made with more barley in it to than most wheat beers, again a little strange.
Mouthfeel Medium with sparkly carbonation that dances on the tongue. This is spot on.
Drinkability It is certainly quenching and tasty and unlike any other wheat beer I have had, either American or European. Not really a Hefe Weizen, but certainly not any other style that I know of.

A - Pours mahogany brown, with short off white head. Little lacing.
S - Aroma is of wheat, caramel. Very subtle; doesn't jump out at you.
T - Wheat, dark fruit, cocoa, hint of tobacco? Lots of sweetness, a bit off balance.
M - Smooth, medium body. Average carbonation
D - Easy drinking, would make a great session beer.

A - As expected it has a yellow hazy tint in color yet as others stated the head fades rather quickly to a mild lace ring.
S - A nice bit of fruity yeasts, clove, sweet malts, and a bit of coriander.
T - I do get some blond tones of mild grains and sweet malts along side of some mild Hefe tones of lemon, clove and wheat.
M - Medium yet balanced yeast tones.
Overall I will seek out their other beers (maybe the dunkel next) since this one impressed me a bit.

Appears a hazy gold color with a small white head that slowly fades into a thin collar. Spotty lacing is left around the glass.
Smell is of crisp, fresh wheat with some banana esters, cloves, fresh dough, lemony zest, and a hint of bubblegum.
Taste is of the same zesty flavors from the Bavarian yeast strain.
Mouthfeel is yeasty, fruity, semi dry, and crisp.
