On draft at the Maple Shade Barrels, Bourbon and Bugs event 2012. From the menu: "Strong Belgian golden ale hopped with Cascade and Amarillo hops, fermented in oak with 100% Brett B. Bright, tart and spicy".
Pours a dark, cloudy copper orange with a stale white head. Tart and fruity nose, apple and grape, with a light brett funky finish. Flavor starts like a typical earthy saison with a dry brett B flavor strengthening through the finish. Subtle vanilla sweetness throughout with a strong tart, apple and green fruit finish. Lighter side of medium body with light carbonation. One of the better beers of the 2012 event.
