Hazed copper, white head has good retention and decent lace.
S/T - Hops up front, with big pine notes, tropical fruit, pineapple, honey sweetness. Really nice nose on it, taste has a slightly boozy finish, caramel malt backbone.
M - Medium body, good medium carbonation, smooth consistency and prickly bitter hops across the palate. Finishes bitter.
O - Nice honey-like sweetness brightens up the malt character. Good depth of hop flavor.

Not a big reviewer. Know what I like and like this a whole bunch. Tastey hopped up mutha. Btw my avatar is a pint of it so I obviously am a fan and kind of a homer. Drink fresh drink local. So why does my comment have to be a minimum of 250 characters. Isn't less more or something like that

Growler from Pinocchios.
A: Nothing Prettier than a really white head on an orange beer
S: Smells of citrust fruits, but the hops make themselves aware.
T: Wonderful sweet fruit quality, not overly bitter, great balance, but the best quality is that its pretty try and goes down smooth.
M: Good body, alcohol is masked well
O: Outstanding, hope their next anniversary is a DIPA

Recently had Pliny the Elder. Great beer, but seems to be overrated to due the lack of supply and huge demand. If you can get to Iron Hill within the next couple weeks try this beer and start supporting your local breweries. If you cant get your hands on good DIPA's like Pliny due to lack of supply then you can drink this and still be very pleased. Drink local.

Growler from Pinocchios.
A: Pours out a dark orange, light copper color. Head is white as it gets. Pretty.
S: Smell is of the more bitter citrus fruits, grapefruit and orange. There is a bit of tropical fruit and some caramel malt. Pungent, bitter hops.
T: Sweet fruits show up first, but they are squashed by some heavy bitterness. The sweet fruit is nice...some peach and apple.
M: Good body, carbonation is right on point and the alcohol definitely is way hidden.
O: Solid DIPA, love supporting local brews and this one doesn't disappoint.

Had on-tap at Pinocchio's in Media, PA. Poured a yellow-orange color with a moderate head. Good lacing and head retention. Had an aroma of hops, bitter fruits (lemon, grapefruit) and definitely a bit of earthy funk. The taste followed the nose pretty well. Definitely tasted some bitter fruits in this one...dry, but very, very sessionable, especially for a DIPA.
Medium bodied with excellent complexity and balance. Moderate carbonation. Among the best DIPA's that I have sampled, and that's saying a lot considering I rarely enjoy DIPA's!

First had: on tap at Pinocchio's, Media, PA
"...collaboration between Iron Hill Media brewers Bob Barrar and Jarrod May and Pinocchio's Beer Garden...."
This beer was brewed in honor of Pinocchio's beer garden's 2nd anniversary. Poured into a tulip glass, this beer poured a slightly hazy, golden-yellow with a cap of creamy white head that displayed very nice retention and soapy lacing. Big aroma of hops, overlaid on pale malts, citrus and pine resin. Galaxy and citra hops are showboated here. The resulting taste is something very reminiscent of a west coast IPA actually, with the overly generous hoppage dominating, tastes of pine, lemon and orange zest, grapefruit pith in a strong way, grassy, and a bit of booze aftershock. A very tasty IPA, even if not entirely unique in the world of IPAs. Medium body, and quite drinkable for the style, but if you're not a fan of big hops, you'd best approach with caution.
