Hope I'm reviewing the correct IPA from Iron Hill... bartender just said it was an "American IPA".
A: Quite clean and clear, with an orange/ whiskey-like color. Great retention throughout.
S: Not much here - light, sweet orange.
T: Surprisingly sweet, rich, and somewhat nutty flavor for an IPA. The orange in the smell came through as well, especially as it warmed.
M: Pretty typical bite of an IPA. Lively, tight, and not overly dry.
D: Solid IPA. Pleasantly drinkable. I'd recommend this one.

Much thanks to zrrbrrt for the great growler!
Our a rich clear burnt amber, with little head but a significant lace. No visible carbonation.
Smell was a musky citrus hops. Not over powering on the hops, but very nice. Orange predominates, sweet caramel undertones.
The taste is very nice, well balanced IPA. Of course there is the hoppy bite, but it is very subdued and balanced with a nice caramel malt flavor. Hints of vanilla follow and it finish wish a nice dry aftertaste.
Very mellow and smooth going down. Don't know the ABV but I would guess around 6%. Very very drinkable and a good session beer. A very nice drink tonight and would definatly recommned.BTW complimented the pizza for dinner very well!
