I had this on tap last night. It was served in a standard pint glass. It was a clear copper in color with a sticky, 2 finger white head. The aroma was strong pine, citrus. The taste followed, it has enough malt for a balance brew. The finish lingers with a pleasant hoppy bitterness. The beer was well carbonated, medium in body and an overall solid IPA.

I have submitted the changes, but it was listed at the brewpub as an "Imperial IPA" at 6.5 %.
It was presented with a big, foamy, eggshell white head with good retention. The color was a slightly cloudy lemon yellow. The nose had a very citrusy-grapefruit aspect to it. The mouthfeel was medium with a good bitterness on the palate. The finish was dry and lingered with the same bitterness that I had noted earlier. Interestingly, the citrus nose did not translate to its taste, but instead had a more piney flavor in the mouth. Further, it created some great, sticky lacing. This was a real winner and I agree with the G-Man that it should be year-'round. Yum!

Scrooge IPA is something I have wanted to get from Iron Hill for a while...a nicely hopped beer.
My glass was filled with a copperish amber color liquid topped my a dense white head that left waves of lacing. The aroma was filled with hops. Citrus and pine with only light malt scents. The taste was quite good. Nice, fresh hop flavor with just enough bitterness and dryness to make me want to take another drink. Very good IPA. I wish they would make this a year-round offering.
