A - Wow, this one is deep blood red with a nice layer of pink head.
S - Fruity beer with cranberry juice overtones. Definitely a desert or after dinner drink type of beer.
T - I like beer but this one tasted like a fruit juice. However, the cranberry and other fruits came through.
M - Feels like a regular beer, goes down smooth. Kinda thicker.
D - This is a one timer for me. Not really into the desert beers or fruity liquor. If I wanted a fruity, berry drink I would have ordered a glass of wine.

very dark red color to it, looked like a red wine almost. head was very little and then was gone completely. was a bit of a darker sediment at bottom of bottle due to yeast settlement.
Wow very raspberry flavored, I really thought I was drinkin a dessert wine instead of a beer. It was very sweet, a little tart, had a kinda sparkling wine taste to it.
I tried this at the 06' WYES Beerfest in New Orleans and wish I would have tried the other flavors (blackberry mmm). I saw a few bottles at World Market and grabbed them. I gave my girlfriend, who is a strict diet and capt'n drinker, a sip. She loved it, and was really suprised when I told her it was beer. She asked for another drink lol.
I think this is a good beer for everynow and then but I wouldn't be able to drink it all the time. Also, alot of drinkers might not like the very sweet taste to it. But raspberry lovers will rejoyce!

Medium bodied, incredible dark raspberry red color, hazy toward the end of the bottle due to yeast sediment, with a pink head that fades fairly quickly, but full of champagne-like carbonation that continues till the end.
Aroma is RASPBERRY, with an earthy, tart background.
Flavor is also very RASPBERRY, almost overwhelming at first taste, sweet, syrupy, then the earthy, funky, acidic side catches up, cleaning out some of the syrupy sweetness, leaving you puckered for the next sip.
This is very definitely a dessert beer and may cause orgasm in raspberry fanatics. To me it's a bit too sweet, but still a unique experience for the right occasion (maybe over ice cream?).

Beer story time....pull up a coaster and check this out:
After finishing my 11 4oz samples my barkeep Dan asks me if I like lambics? "Sure!" I reply, at which time he disappears into the rear of the bar and emerges with a 4oz sample - gratis. (Note to BA's - it pays to talk & have fun with the barkeeps. I have scored a few freebie samples for just being honestly enthusiastic).
Here's the story. Larry Horowitz, brewmaster at Iron Hill, brewed up a large batch of framboise lambic at the place he was prior to Iron Hill. Leaving on good terms, he took the lambic with him when he left and brought it here....
Talk about being in the right place at the right time! This cloudy, cranberry juice hued beer had been waiting over 1000 days for me! The loose white foam embued the most magnificent deep, dark raspberry nose, not sweet at all, even hints of....tomato?
I'll probably never have another crisp, not fruit sweet but rather bitterweet and nicely sour lambic like this again. Its like the difference between cherry pie and sour cherry pie. No hops here (or at least noticable), it faded into a nice bittersweet memory.
Thanks Dan...
