- On draft Maple Shade location in chalice.
A: Glassy dark orange, slight creamy beige topping. Still carbonation factor, milky coating thin lace dressing.
S: Aroma of citrus, orange and caramel sweetness. Light floral notes, pine, of low to moderate awareness per style. A little light for a double.
T: Dry caramel and citrus hopping. Flowery dry pine, toasted malt with a decent level of bitterness. Stalky and leafy side notes, earthy dry grapes, with a helping of dry hopped citrus on the close.
M: Light bodied, some mineral content, warming citrus and alcohol glow on the inner cheeks from the 7.3%.
O: Overall cleanly brewed, lightly dry, bittering, citrus hops and soft glow of alcohol. Easy drinkability for after work gatherings, happy hour, with a respectable amount of ibu's. Would of liked to see a bit more body and carbonation, perhaps some extra protein in the glass. Nice to see the maple shade location embracing the ipa trend with several hoppy beers on tap.
