Harpoon Brewery in Windsor Vermont.
Stopped here on the way back from Montreal to NYC for a lunch and a quick beer. I was driving so couldn’t have too much but did get a feel for it all.
Area in the back is the brewery in all of its glory, tours on specific days for $5 which includes a free glass. Didn’t have time so instead we went for food in the front taproom part. The décor is casual, large expansive bar with a bunch of small tables, also an outdoor patio area for the outdoor crowd. Too hot for that so we stayed inside and got some menus. There is also a commercial section that includes six packs, clothing, mugs and other swag. Swag seemed a little overpriced but whatever. They proudly had their rare beers on display here and that was really cool.
I love that Harpoon makes its own cider, my wife has a Celiac intolerance and can’t have beer. So the opportunity for her to have a craft pint with me was awesome. Good for them. I opted for the limited release Rye IPA beer. This beer is excellent and we toasted to good drinking.
We ordered food, splitting chicken wings for an appetizer. I got the Black Bean Burger and she got the Cobb Salad. All food was fresh and excellent. Our server was friendly and very helpful, couldn’t have asked for more.
Overall, a great time, I left with some Leviathan Bock and full from a good meal. I highly recommend this place as a stop. Well worth your time.

Perfectly placed between exits on the way up to a ski trip. Great outside veranda and porch area, for playing cornhole or frisbee or just to run out and stretch your legs. Hit the spot for us as it was very family friendly.
THey offered toured for a few bucks and you get a stamped card. If you get a 2nd tour at their Boston location, you get an IPA HArpoon glass. Pretty diverse selection of bottles and at least a half dozen on tap.

Awesome place to stop if driving up I-91. Great beer selection, awesome food that supports local farms, and amazing staff that are willing to answer any questions. Very relaxed setting. Awesome during fall with the changing of the leaves and a good fire going. Highly recommend the tours too.

I have been twice as a place to stop and grab a bite to eat while traveling. Food is alright but selection of Harpoon beers on tap and the atmosphere of the place mak it a place I will stop in again. I have yet to do the brewery tour but have enjoyed sampling stuff and getting growler fills. Each time the samples heavily influenced my growler fill. Harpoon and UFO aren't always in my fridge but worth a visit to grab a bite, sample a few different brews and get a growler fill.

The brewery is nestled in the green hills off of interstate 91. The atmosphere is excellent, fitting the rural area nicely. The quality of the beer was above average. They had multiple seasonals and series on top of the harpoon favorites. The service was excellent, perhaps the best I have received at a brewery, they were punctual and attentive. The food was average at best, the sandwiches were good but the cheeseburger appears to be a challenge for the cooks. Pricing was more than fair and overall was a good experience.

I went for the Championships of New England Barbecue event in July and the place was great. There were free tours with the price of admission to the event too. I am looking forward to coming back for their Octoberfest. Great food and laid back atmosphere. Definitely recommended.
