My homeland's flagship beer which I've had a hundred times back home. I'm drinking a bottle I bought here in Edmonton, but surprisingly the label is in Russian, suggesting the beer was brewed for domestic consumption? I'm not sure...
Well it pours a copper colour almost, maybe just slightly lighter. It pours with one finger of head that certainly smells like a bit of skunk, but it also has a cold and grainy scent, it's refreshing but also warming simultaneously. The taste is a wee bit too bitter for my taste and there is a shit ton of carbonation. Again, way too much. The sweetness provides a nice balance while not being entirely dominant when I have a sip. The aftertaste is not bad, but I have a strange sort of taste on my tongue - I can't really explain it.
Overall it's your typical Euro Lager. As for Obolon, give me Obolon Svitle ten times out of ten, which I just love. This one ranks a lot lower.

A: Pours a clear yellow in color with light amounts of visible carbonation. The head is a half finger tall and white which reduces to a very thin layer over the entire surface of the beer with a thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Light lacing is observed.
S: Bready and adjunct malts with some hints of corn and grain. Very little hops and a pretty sweet smelling beer.
T: Lots of sweetness from the adjunct malts with a strong corn (almost corn syrup) flavor and very light bitterness in the finish.
M: Light bodied with moderate to high amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin/watery.
O: Easy to drink and refreshing, definitely sessionable. Do I really want to have another of these? I'm honestly not sure...

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter-finger high white head that died down but never completely faded away, leaving a large patch of bubbles around the center of the glass and a thick ring of bubbles around the edge.
S: There are aromas of bready malts in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of adjunct and bready malts along with notes of malty sweetness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is rather easy to drink and isn’t that bad compared to other beers in the style.

Out of a bomber this beer was a clear golden color with one finger of white hea. The retention was so-so and it left a scant band of lacing towards the beginning but little after that. The aroma was mostly of dry malt, light yeast and a little biscuit and bread. The flavors were dominated by the dry, biscuity malt (I’m guessing pale 2 row) but it also had some hints of apple and some slightly spicy hops towards the finish. The mouthfeel was average, the body medium/light and the carbonation appropriate. Better than the other beers they make I think but it wasn’t by any means something special. A perfectly fine but perfectly forgettable beer.

A; Poured a mildly hazy yellow with a bleached white head. Really nice head retention but slick, relatively poor lacing.
S; Smells of malts are much like a Dortmunder and pleasant, with medicinal hops that throw it off a bit. Just a hint of skunk in there.
T; Malt profile is grainy and dry. Then herbal hops kick in with a bitterness that finshes dry with lightly sour notes of diluted lemon juice.
M; Light bodied but with more substance than other examples of the style.
O; This is a fine, although slightly unusual example of the style. Nothing really special but worth a try.

Appearance is straw yellow in color with a thin but crisp head that easily dissapates. Smell of a clean lager with light sweet malts and hops. Taste of honey and grain with a hop bite that overtakes the light sweet malt leaving a dry bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light with a spike of carbonation. Not bad, just rough around the edges.

Clear and light yellow with a thin smattering of bubbles on the surface, modest collar, and a few specks of lacing. Herbal and lemony hop aroma, mild cereal and grain. A little more than light bodied with a smooth texture and some crispness in the carbonation. A bit dry, but not overly so. Bitterness was nicely balanced and didn't get lost in the malty sweetness. More lemony hop character, a bit floral. Maybe a hint of sourness with mild pear-like fruity undertones. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. I figured I was taking a risk since there was no date on the label or bottle, but the beer tasted pretty fresh.

Quite a grainy nose on this one; I pick up barley specifically...husk...cereal grains.
Taste is a bit strange. Body is somewhat watery with a barley, husk quality to it that actually comes across as nutty. Not much like any other beer I've had in this style. There's a medicinal bitterness in the back that isn't too powerful, but isn't too pleasant as it lingers on the tongue either.
Not my favorite in this simple style. The taste is just not something that I would find myself coming back to.
