First had: on tap at TJ's, Paoli, PA
Served in a huge 0.5L Franziskaner weiss glass...whew...first time in a while I committed to a beer that big, and a wheat beer at that, which is hardly my favorite style. Fortunately this was quite a good beer and I made short work of it.
Thick, dark golden-brown pour, impenetrably cloudy, with a good inch of fluffy white head that retained throughout the session and left foamy lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheaty grains, banana ester, huge floral essence. The aroma followed through into the taste, wheat profile, lots of flowery perfume, potpourri, afterthoughts of chewy banana and spice, slight earthiness in the finish. The floral qualities really dominated this beer, which really wasn't a bad thing; it made it soft and smooth, but had I known it was that intense (and served in that quantity), I'm sure I wouldn't have ordered it because by about halfway through I was really starting to get sick of it. Otherwise, smooth medium mouthfeel, pretty drinkable, although like I said the flowery/potpourri taste was really strong...if that's your thing, you'll have no problem with this beer. As for me, once was more than enough. Still very good for the style.

500ml bottle poured into a Duvel tulip.
Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Nose is wheaty and fruity it's really nice.
Taste is fruity and wheaty with lots of nutty and sharp stuff. It's really easy drinking and super tasty. Overall an easy drinking beer.

Schinner Weissbier, 0.5 l bottle.
Golden colour, with a big soapy head. Disappointing carbonation.
Big smell of malts and banana bread. Some slight herbs and yeast and citrus.
Flavour is ok, but a bit faint. Some slight malts and yeasty banana and citrus.
Mouthfeel is thin, watery.
I'm surprised to read it's 4.9% abv., as this is smooth like a soft drink. It could be more refreshing if it had more bubbles.
Average.

Pours almost orange with large and dense head, excellent retention. Aroma is typical Hefe, yeast, fruity esters, banana, hints of bubble gum.
Taste is not that good - sweetish grainy, yeast with medium dry finish and weak citrus aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium with average carbonation.
Overall, refreshing, quite typical Hefe, but lacks flavour slightly.
