First, this beer isn't following the macro red ale and I like that. The appearance is more auburn that macro red ales. The smell is malty, very malty. The taste is ok but there is nothing to off about it and it is very good. The mouthfeel is crisp but when it touches your throat it becomes very smooth..

A: Pours a nice white head and has medium lacing through out. Colour is auburn and clear.
S: Biscuit, bread, light toffee, crystal malts.
T: Light toffee, hints of light roasted coffee, spiciness from the hops.
M: Well carbonated, light-medium body, crisp and dry with a nice bitter finish
O: This Red Ale competes well and blows the macros out of the water. It has great toffee flavours balanced with roasted notes. Its finish is nice and bitter but not too much.

A - poured with half a finger of off white head that rests on a clear, amber brown body. The foam settles rapidly and leaves minor lace.
S - light toffee, some malt and a hint of spicy hops.
T - dark malt and toffee up front with some brown sugar coming out in the middle. Dry malt in the finish with a lingering toasty note.
M - medium body, moderate carbonation, and a dry finish.
D - a serviceable brown ale with some good malt character in the flavor profile. It lacks the richness of a really top notch brown, but out drinks well enough.

From a mixed pack brought back to me from Montreal.
Poured into a conical Mill Street glass. Nice amber-red colour, clear, leaves an inch of creamy head that survives as a thick ring. Nice lacing.
Nose is caramel, malt, bread, tart hops.
A decent-tasting red ale, sweet and with a strong caramel malty character. Certainly nothing innovative or exciting here, but what's there is tasty and easy to drink. maltiness, finishes with a slight hop bite.
Carbonation is a bit strong, but generally it's okay.
Not a bad red ale, certainly drinkable, and a cut above some of their other stuff. My favorite of the bunch!

Nothing too complex or trail-blazing here.
The amber appearance is pretty with a two finger head that slowly dissipates.
Pleasant caramel malt smell. Medium carbonnation and mostly caramel in the taste. Could use a little more by way of hops. Slightly crisp on the finish.
Like most Boreales, it good value for when you are entertaining--but not something you would go out of your way to pick up for yourself.
Pair with spiced gouda or Doritos

341ml bottle poured into a pint glass
Appearance - the beer pours a light browning/redish colour with a fair size fizzy and foamy off white head. Not a whole lot of carbonation, and the head was gone fairly quickly
Smell - I can smell some toasted malts and some hops. Also a brown sugar like sweetness.
Taste & Mouth - The beer has a low to medium amount of carbonation. I can taste the toasted malts and hops, which lead to a slightly watery sweet finish.
Drink - An average beer that was probably one of the better parts of the Boreale sampler pack that I purchased. But there are far better beers in this category.

Poured a rich orange-red beer with a small head that left no lacing atop it. Aromas of sweet caramel malt (and little else) with the very same being in the taste of the beer. Little else there, and little to differentiate itself from the other beers...
Felt good and well carbonated and it was a nice and easy beer to drink under the circumstances.

Clear amber colour with a moderate head that settles to a film, good lacing.
Malts and caramel in the nose, not overwhelming. Taste is equally subdued. Malt and caramel again, hoppy finish. Better than most macros, but nothing too, too impressive. A bit of a bite from the carbonation.
Overall a very average brew. Drinkable, but not memorable.
