From a 22oz bottle
Best by October 2015
Pours a slightly cloudy straw yellow, smallish head that fades quickly, not much lacing, large amounts of bubbles constantly rising from the bottom keep a somewhat consistent cap on top.
Smell has a grassy aroma with some malt sweetness in the background, hint of lemon.
Taste starts off with the malt sweetness and lemon zest, grassy hops in the aftertaste that are neither too strong or too weak, well balanced that keeps the delicacies in check, strong carbonation with a dry finish.
While not likely to knock many socks off or a style I particularly seek out, it's well crafted enough to keep on drinking.

Sample from the Granite State Brewers Festival 7/25/15
Rich bready pilsner malt with plenty of spicy floral hops to counter. Great lager from one of my favorite breweries.

22 oz bottle was poured into a nonic glass.
Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a slightly hazy pale yellow color with good clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Toasted, pale, and bready malts with lager yeast, and grassy hops in the rear.
Taste: Lots of toasted and chewy malts. Grainy and bready with grassy and bitterness notes in the rear.
Mouthfeel: A little chewy, light bitterness, medium bodied, medium carbonation, a bit dry, and refreshing.
Overall: Not a bad zwickel beer. I'll revisit this one again driving through Portsmouth.

22oz bottle.
Pours gold and slightly hazy with an inch of white head that settles to a partial skim coat with lacing.
Honey-drizzeled bread on the nose. Doughy and clean.
Medium bodied with a slightly tacky mouthfeel.
Bready malt starts the palate with a balancing bitterness and more honey.
Finishes with a lingering sweetness and proofing dough.
A bit sweet for my taste, and otherwise a clean but fairly unmemorable lager.
