Thanks to my brother for sending a couple bottles of this my way! One for now, one for Thanksgiving dinner. Bottle split and shared with a friend. Poured into a small wine glass.
Pours a dark tawny-tinted red with a pinkish head on top. The nose, the nose, my kingdom for the nose! Cherry jolly ranchers. Need I say more? Such a fruity and tart aroma, I can't think of a better way to describe it. Nothing really stands out much different than the BR or RT, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Effervescent bubbles give this beer life! Crisp and bubbly - fits this beer to perfection. Big flavors of cherries and apples. The cranberries really show up on this finish as this tarts up quite nicely. This sets itself apart from the other fruity mainstays from these guys. It's sweet, no doubt, some would say too sweet. But the tartness comes through at the right moment, giving a nice kick to the back end. I think I'd be able to get through a bottle of this one my own, but I find it is the perfect beer to share. Sweet. Tart. Tasty. Thank you, Dan. You work quite the magic with some fruit.

A: Pours a dark red with some brown in it. Good sized fluffy offwhite head. Good head retention. Only moderate little streaks of lacing.
S: Nice aroma. Sweet, ripe apples and cherries.
T: Sweet apples and cherries up front again. Really nice. Sweetness runs out and there's a sudden twang of tart fruits instead with the apples and cherries. Cranberries kick in for an extra tartness in the finish. Lingering cranberry juice in the aftertaste.
M: Surprisingly medium bodied for only 4%. Nice and smooth and clean too.
O: Awesome fruit beer. Not quite as good as the Raspberry and Cherry versions but it's a very close 3rd. Pretty amazing that one brewery can make the top 3 fruit beers. Magic touch I guess. Wonderful strong flavors from only 4% ABV too. Great fruit beer.

750ml waxed bottle into a HF wine glass. Thanks Yamar68!
A - Pours a clear dark red body with a fingers worth of purple stained foam. Leaves behind a patchy cap and some solid lacing with a swirl. Looks very juice like but with an excellent head.
S - Tart cranberries, ripe apples, some cinnamon spice from the cherries, and that's it. Ripe, fresh, and juicy are all terms that come to mind. This might blur the line between beer and fruit juice, but who cares when it smells this great.
T - Pleasantly tart cranberries, ripe apples, and some cherries and spice on the finish. Just a touch of malts can be found here but otherwise this is like drinking a sparkling cran-apple juice. Mouth feel is medium bodies with low carbonation. I'm not sure if its detrimental or not but it does feel somewhat syrupy. That does make it a bit of a chore to drink solo but the flavor is so amazing that slowly sipping on it is somewhat welcomed.
O - New Glarus simply kills it with their fruit "beers". This happy accident ale certainly is a happy accident. Belgian Red really impressed me and making up for the lack of cherries with cranberries and apples is just genius. Just the right amounts of sweetness and tartness .
