I think there are a couple of ways you can approach this beer. First, this is a great brew which can introduce a person to craft beer. I can see a person who normally drinks Old Style or Miller being able to enjoy this and think that craft brew is not so "high-fallutin'."
However, if you're a craft beer afficiando, you may not think this beer is much. It's a good, solid summer lager that's not really light, but it's not super heavy either. It looks good, it tastes nice, but there's nothing super-special about this beer that makes it worthy of a higher rating.
Still, if you're sweating and need some refreshment, a bottle of this will totally fit the bill.

Clear light golden body with minimal head and lacing. Fairly strong pale malt, barely and grain base with cracker and light honey presence. Nice hop complexity with sweet corn, honey for flavor which is a lot less malty than the aroma forboded. Light body and moderate carbonation and crisp finish.

A - Pours with one finger of white foam on top of a clear, straw colored body. The head sticks around for a while and leaves nice lace on the glass.
S - Musty, herbal hop aroma with some grainy malt.
T - Clean, mild malt with light hop presence and little else.
M - Mdium body, moderate carbonation, and a well balanced finish.
D - Nicely done, it is very well balanced and drinkable.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear straw yellow with a fluffy and chunky three fingers of white foam.
Smell: Nice spicy hops and sweet crackery malt backbone. Simple but inviting.
Taste: Follows the nose with a light crackery malt, sharp, spicy hops, some yeast and a bit of tangy lemon. Fairly sweet overall.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, crisp and clean with a creamy finish.
Overall, this is a straight forward but fantastic pale lager. Light but flavorful, crisp, refreshing and completely satisfying. A great summer session beer. As the label states, "This is beer at it's most basic". In this case, that's a good thing.

Pours a HUGE, bellowing, dense, white head that has good persistence and laces the glass like crazy. Distinctive noble hop aroma is slightly spicy with a touch of sweetness. Crystal clear, golden hue. Starts off with a touch of floral hops, a touch of spiciness and sweet malt. No building of bitterness, instead the malt takes the wheel and ramps this up into a sizeable, delicious, bready malt backbone. The finish is DECADES of deep, grain and breadiness; it just lasts and lasts. A touch of floral hops will peek through if you let the finish settle.
It even has this wonderful, thick, luscious, silky feel in your mouth. It's not thin, but it's not thick.
Holy hell. This is beyond amazing. Dare I say, "perfect"?
It is EVERYTHING a malt-centric lager should be; delicious, refined, and masterfully balanced. It's, literally, like drinking a loaf of fantastic bread.
I'm a HUGE fan of malt and lagers. This is perfect.
If you're looking to try and expand your palate and experience more malt-centric lagers, this is the PERFECT place to start.
