Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tall New Glarus Signature Pilsner Glass.

Appearance: Pours a deep copper golden orange color with a moderate amount of bubbles. About two fingers of off white head that recede into a thin patchy layer. Leaves a lot of lacing around the glass.

Smell: A bready malt and grain driven aroma with subtle spice. Bready malts with good hints of biscuit, yeast, hay, crackers, and cereal grains. Subtle hint of apple fruit. Also some lemon. Fairly grassy and earthy with some noble hops providing some spice. A solid crisp Pilsener aroma.

Taste: Nicely crisp, malty, and spicy like the smell hints at. Toasted malts with a taste of biscuit, crackers, hay, yeast, and cereal grains. Notes of apple and lemon fruit. A decent Noble hop backing adds some spicy earthy and grassy tastes. A very good and balanced classic Pilsener taste. The apple taste is a nice touch.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very crisp and smooth with a fairly drying finish.

Overall: A very good all around take on a Germain style Pilsener. Good bready malts with a nice soft fruit kick and hop spice.

12 oz. split two ways. Served in a FFF curved pint glass.

A: Pours a dark yellowish color with a white head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thin ring and film. Sticky lace is left down the glass.

S: Nice malty sweetness is combined with a honey-like note. Lightly hoppy as well on the back end. Lagery yeast as well.

T: Nicely malted, a little cracked wheat with some honey notes. Lager-style yeast with a mild hop bite. Grassy in nature.

M: Light bodied with a medium high carbonation. Clean and sweet finish.

O: A great beer. I can drink a ton of these. Awesome summer beer that has great balance. Will drink again.
