Poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass. No date on bottle, but freshly received from Wisconsin.

A - Light gold and clear. White, fluffy head that lingers for a while before falling to the sides of the glass.

S - Orange, grapefruit and piney hops waft up immediately upon pouring, but the hops don't knock you over. The hops are there, but they stay in check. Light toast and caramel behind the hops.

T - Hops up front, but taste different than expected from the aroma. I expected citrus up front from the smell, but instead it was a woody, catty hop flavor. I liked the surprise. A firm bitterness that doesn't linger too long. Just enough toasty malt to keep the hops in check.

M - Medium body, moderate carbonation and a dry finish add up to a very smooth beer.

D - A good beer to remind you that a beer can showcase hops without smacking you in the face. Another well done offering from New Glarus.
