Where has this beer been all my life? Balls to the wall one of the best hefes I have touched. Thank you Corey for reading my mind and sending it my way. I asked for some quality midwest beers and this one was a terrific surprise.
Innocently opened to enjoy this past weekend, and as these notes indicate, elixir of glory.
Bottle Graphics: 7/10.

A: Poured the bottle into enormous weizen glass that shows off the body of this one. Nougat like foamy stacked head with cotton ball lacing all along the outside. Hazy and golden color.

S: Spicy and biting clove aroma. There is this background of hops that leave me drooling to start into it. Not knowing anything about it, was completely surprised by the hop flavor in the mix. Lemon with this concoction is nothing I have come across before.

T: Very one of a kind. Yeast flavors with a pounding from each sip of citrus hops. There is so much going on and it does not in any way become overbearing. A mish mosh could have come out of it but does not. Like a good complex chord that hits just right. A light flavor is very fresh and in terms of this style of beer, this is the best I have tasted from American soil.

M: Feather light with the only possible knock on the beer being a heavy load of carbonation.

D: New Glarus=Drinkable and this does not change my mind. If this was a beer I had access to in NJ, it would be a staple. Hell, I need to ask for some more in my trading game with this fine trader.

Thanks again Corey, great selection.

I ended up with a bottle of this after a weekend road trip with my buddies. A friend of mine commented that he was going to clear out his fridge and bring some beer along for our weekend away. This was still left in my cooler once I got home and I drank it about a week later. The first thing I want to comment on is that I noticed that there hasn't been any reviews made on this beer in over a year. When was it last brewed? I realized that I was drinking a beer that is at least a year old. (no "bottled on" date on the bottle). I don't think this is a beer that is supposed to age so it may affect in a negative way what I think about it.

The first sip was almost medicinal or acidic in it's taste. I didn't like it. As I drank it though, I got a pleasant wheat taste and some fruits underneath this. It wasn't anything special but certainly went down easy enough once I got going.
