Poured from a 12oz bottle into a fluted glass. Received in a trade with bulldogp04. Thanks - love this beer style.
A - Poured a pale, almost clear, yellow with a loose, large bubbled head about 1/2" thick. Color is a little darker than I expected for the style. Constant supply of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Head is thin and soda-like and dissipates quickly - thin, almost nonexistant lacing.
S - Lots of sour fruits - apples and pears. Little bit like a pinot grigio. Some yeastiness comes through as well. Just right for the style.
T - Nice, sharp sourness. Very fruity. A little bit of breadiness and yeastiness, but sour fruits dominate as they should. Not as sour as some of the other berliner weissbiers I've had. Some others are almost completely undrinkable without adding the raspberry or woodruff syrup. Although very sour, this one is quite drinkable on its own - very good.
M - Lots of carbonation. Sourness induces a puckering sensation. Medium body. Quite good.
D - Not an overly drinkable style given the sourness levels. This one isn't quite as sour as I'm used to - ends up making it quite drinkable for the style. Great summer time beer, sitting outside in the warm weather.

A - A very pale, light yellow with a nice finger of white head.
S - Reminds me of champagne/white grape; slightly sour/tart.
T - Same as with the aroma but with a nice mild maltiness. Very refreshing. The slight sourness is mouth watering!
M - Fairly light in body with a nice, strong carbonation.
O - This is super refreshing beer for warmer weather. This is only one of two BW's that I've had but it is a well-crafted brew.

A - Light golden - approaching straw, translucent, very light-pencil thickness white head, dissipates quickly but leaves a small layer for entirety, nice carbonation rising.
S - grape, wheat, carmel
T - tart grape, wheat, lemon. Finish is a sharp tart grape.
M - high carbonation, nice body and frothiness after some warmth, close to a champagne- but doesn't leave that bubbly feeling in the tummy.
O - Need to start with the nose. I don't want to present the wrong idea. It isn't bad - just isn't there. Very faint grape/wheat with a touch of carmel. Has the mouth and taste of a champagne. Crisp tartness - very pleasant. One note- this MUST be drunk moderately warm. 60 degrees? Too cold and you're going to miss all the flavor. Certainly a celebration beer. I did wish it was a bit more sour tho.

Thanks to atone315 for hooking these up. Delicious.
Pours an extremely mild yellow appearance, but with amazing clarity. Take the water from Lake Tahoe and a Budweiser (an impressive looking beer, taste aside), mix them in equal parts, and you might get something with the delicate appearance you have here. The head is bright white.
The aroma is tart lemons, white grape and green apple in a lesser way, just how you want it from a sour mash berlinner weisse. Not massively puckering like say, Tartare, this is more traditional and pretty nice.
The taste follows in the same vein, mild wheat underbody, lemon and apple tartness (no apple 'flavor'). Very refreshing, great mouthfeel. I had high expectations and this still exceeded them. Gotta love these super flavorful but extremely light as air beers. Does a bright and light funkiness make sense? Finishes slightly acidic, dry and tart. White grape and oak hints make out for a complex, yet inviting experience. I'm guessing the alcohol to be around the 3% range.
I think I liked this one more than even Hottenroth. Wow. Call it one of the greatest beers for summer ever made.

Holy crap. This beer is amazing. I was out off by the initial smell, which was really reminiscent of a really brut champagne, but as the beer warmed up, the scent of sweet white wine took over. Glorious! The slightly cloudy, pale brew has delightful carbonation and a wonderfully mouth-filling flavor. Unique in the best sense of the word. Perfect for summer sipping. It could also be paired with cheeses much like a fine white wine. A remarkable brew.
