A large, pillowy head of frothy foam stands three fingers tall over a rich golden body (ever so slightly murky). Aromas of lemon zest and tangerine peel fill and tantalize the nose, a foundation of bread dough lies underneath, accented with a little banana and clove. Crisp citrusy flavors lead the way followed by sourdough bread and chased with a little bit of spice and more citrus. Lots of robust taste, yet high carbonation helps leave a notable clean finish. This is a beer of much substance, nearly a chewy mouthfeel. Yet though it clocks in at over 7% ABV, "Dancing Man" is nicely drinkable. New Glarus adds another legend to its line-up, a memorable and cravable Hefe.

So floral, so delicious. Hazy, golden, beautiful... this is a phenomenal hefe. This is the perfect summer brew. New Glarus just doesn't seem to miss. I only wish I lived closer to their beautiful brewery! The smell becomes ever more floral as the beer warms. Absolutely world class... easily on par with its German equivalents.

I'm going to start off by saying I don't normally like Hefeweizens.
This is a good, solid, easy drinking beer. Really nice mouthfeel. Almost creamy. I'm glad it didn't have a big bannana taste like some (like I said, not usually a fan of Hefeweizens). Just a nice kind of spice character. Really good beer. I enjoyed this even as my beloved Blackhawks got their asses handed to them by the bruins. Maybe it was the 7.2 abv that helped it, but its a solid brew.
Get your ass to Wisconsin and enjoy some!
Cheers!

A: half finger head without much retention, only scattered lacing on a clear bright golden body.
S: rich lemon custard aroma, wheat, tart orange. Minimal peppercorn. No musty or overly grainy notes that overwhelm the sweet notes.
T: very clean, wheat and grain base with some sweet corn and both sweet and tart lemon.
M: light body and moderate carbonation. crisp and clean.
Overall: this may be as good as a hefe gets. The ABV for the style is high but covered well. Complex for the genre, a little too sweet.

A - A small white head of foam on top of a clear, golden body. The head settles quickly and leaves little lace.
S - Spicy hops, musty wheat, and a bit of pepper.
T - Bready malt up front with slightly fruity yeast in the middle. Finishes with an odd, soda water like quality and a touch of tartness.
M - Medium body, moderately high carbonation, and a dry finish.
D - weird, one dimensional and a bit bland. I'm not sure what the idea was here, but it really isn't working for me.

A - The color was a orange/apricot with a little head and some retention.
S - The wheat really stood out to me and kind of over poured everything else.
T - Taste of wheat with a hint a spice
M - I thought the body was very nice, well carbonated and went down really smooth for a hefeweizen
O- Overall this was a pretty decent beer and if your into hefeweizens you would really like this beer.
