Appearance: Pours a hazy caramel color, dark for the style. Head and lace are outstanding; a one finger head persisted until the last sip.
Smell: Toffee-like sweetness, earthy English hops and a hint of citrus.
Taste & mouthfeel: As the nose implies, this is a maltier IPA - the caramelly malt backbone is substantial. Chocolate undertones pair well with earthy, citrusy hops - this drinks almost like an ESB to me. Carbonation is high, lending a much needed crispness.
Notes: A good and solid IPA but maltier than I tend to like them.

A very orange beer, you didn't see this color in Midwest beers too often if at all back when this hit shelves for the first time. The dry hopping wasn't huge, but it was a shift in direction for this region.
Taste was a nice drier toasted pale malt bill paired with hops beyond your usual 6% midwest ipa. Very little caramel, this paired toast with green veggie hops. Its pretty straightforward and easy drinking around the 50ibu range. I really liked it.
