Notes:
Treat yourself to a rare delight. The voluminous raspberry bouquet will greet you long before your lips touch your glass. Serve this Wisconsin framboise very cold in a champagne flute. Then hold your glass to a light and enjoy the jewel-like sparkle of a very special ale.
Oregon proudly shares their harvest of mouth watering berries, which we ferment spontaneously in large oak vats. Then we employ Wisconsin farmed wheat and year old Hallertau hops to round out this extravaganza of flavor.

A: pours ruby with a slight brown hue. Nice 1 finger tan head that has decent retention and good lacing.
S: lots of raspberry on the nose with a little white grape undertone not picking up much malt.
T: dessert in a glass. Deep raspberry sweetness with slight notes of wheat followed by a beautifully balanced tartness.
M: lots of carbonation, light and delicate. Feels like champagne, great for the summer.
O: very creative well balanced framboise. Perfect for a hot summer day.

750mL split into 2 snifters. no bottled on date.
A: definitely not clear. a beautiful hue of deep red. head has a pinkish tint to it. very frothy. retention is excellent as is the thick lacing left behind.
S: smells like straight raspberry frozen ice pop. because of all the sweetness, there is also a strawberry-like aroma as well. sweet fruity sugars from some super ripe fruit. inviting.
T: tart is definitely how this brew starts out. boatloads of sugar. I mean boatloads. the flavor reminds me of a rich raspberry tart pastry or even a raspberry puree. grain and hops are negligible as the raspberry flavor and elements are at the front, middle, and back. not that that is a bad thing. very tasty.
M: not quite effervescent, but certainly a lively carb. light/medium bodied.
D: I feel like this is a beer all in its own league. not really a fruit beer, but not really a framboise. certainly has elements of both, but hard to pick a way it is leaning towards more. regardless, very tasty stuff here from New Glarus. refreshing, yet tart and assertive. i would even take more tart and less sweet.

A: Blood red in color, in the teku it poured a big two finger soft pink head very hazy with lots of bubbles popping up the side of the glass.
S: it smells like a raspberry tart. sour raspberry with a hint of bread. no hops detected on this one.
T: Huge sweet raspberry flavor hits first, as it washes over the tounge the sourness comes out in a mellow refreshing burst. Thats about it! simple and exactly what the name says.
M: High carbonation with a dry finish which emphasisis the sourness.
O: Dan Carry really does magical things with sour/wild beers. I know many beer nerds that say they don't like sours but like any other style you need to have a good example.. this is a great place to start.
